Scotty's New Handcrafted Shaft Band

Is this the same shaft band that is on the buttonback's?

I'd be shocked if you saw them on anything other than tour putters. My guess is the shaft pulls with bands will likely be considerably more than $150. I'd say closer to $500 if I had to bet.

My understanding is that they are only going to be on 'high-end' tour camerons....most likely GSS, garage, etc. Because of that, I can see collectors paying $500+ for a shaft that has one on it.

Hmm.. wouldn't something like that so high up on the shaft reduces swing weight? Now the heads are gonna get even heavier?

That guy is a marketing god, my buddy told me he spend 50 bucks for a ball marker. Unbelievable.

Genius because people will pay, and it is a permanent fixture on the club. Personally I pull off all my shaftbands on all my clubs so it isn't my cup of tea.

only people who play cameron putters call this custom shaft band a work of "marketing genius". the rest of us just call it crazy.

i wonder what other things scotty can stamp a circle t on that people will buy?

Why do I have the feeling it'll be an additional $75 to change the color on your SHAFT BAND too?

interesting piece there...wonder how much it will cost, probably a few bills $100-300 deff

Don't forget that the color has to be approved, otherwise you'll get what they think is best.

And to be clear, we're talking about a sticker that goes on the shaft of the putter, right?

Not a fan......

I like it. At least you don't have to worry about your bag peeling it off lol. I wouldn't pay a bunch for one, but wouldn't complain a bit if I had one. Would be cool to paint it to match the rest of the putter.

I kind of like it. I would love to put a customized paint scheme in one of those.

No, it's a milled metal ring that affixes to the shaft and is permenant (most likely anyway, unless it's epoxied on). My question is is it aluminum or another metal? If it's another metal, I'd like to have one and flame it to match my Squareback.

I see a few guys that used to trash everything he did that are using his putters now. As far as I know, the Anser was made by Karsten and Cameron, Bettinardi, insert another boutique putter-maker have used to their benefit. Its not new by any means... I like Cameron's, always have and my current gamer is a Cameron. I was just curious why the hate to begin with and why now are they buying these high quality tour sticks if they once were not as good as those boutique guys..

yeah he did .and does alot better than any of the junk headcovers and putters that betty,byron or tp makes. i see a ton of pros with there betty's ..........................the reason is scotty produces quality that is made in the USA.try some cameron stuff out and have some of the collectibles in hand and you would be singing a different tune

Overpriced (if even available to public sale) and overrated as usual....go figure, scotty at it again.

I agree with some people in this thread, what is the point of having that on the shaft, and please dont respond by saying marketing (because like stated above, we can prolly assume that the general public is never going to see this).

Bettinardi and Byron putters are milled here in the USA as well. Hardly junk and Bettinardi used to mill some of the most sought after Camerons from the early to late 90s. All manufacturers listed make great products. Just because you like one doesn't mean all the rest are worthless.
