Wilson FG Tour Price

Thoughts these were suppose to be a cheaper ball
I can only find these balls for $35 plus shipping, thought they were suppose to be closer to a $30 tour caliber ball. Anyone finding these for cheaper than me? Why buy these when you can get a Callaway for only two bucks more, plus a free hat? Really want to try them but hard to justify for that price.

I agree 100%. Lots of talk on here and other forums on how these are as good as Pro V1x's but $10-$13 cheaper.
Maybe its a supply and demand issue, lol. I have not seen a box of these in any store and I asked the guys at our local
Golf USA about carrying them and he said, "Why?" like they were junk. I didn't appreciate the attitude and I never did get
a real answer as to why they were not carrying them. They have the D:25 and C:25 which they also crapped on. On a seperate
visit they didnt have good things to say about the Di-Fy set they had on the wall and the Di9's. That is all they carry from Wilson.
This shop is a Taylormade & Callaway shop. They get the most floor space by far. Surprisingly PUMA actually has a decent area and did so long before Fowler came along.

Might be some reasons there why they are hanging on by a thread (this Golf USA). You have to vary your stock based on price points and you never bad mouth a product. You can say that "The Wilson FG is a nice ball but I think you would get more out of the XXXX".

The only way for me to try them is to order them at everyone online has them at ~$37. What is the point? Do they really think they can jump into that market? Paddy doesn't even play them for hecks sake!!

I dont know but with online C:25 dozens going for $22 shipped, im bound to give them a try. See if they can do something about that Wilson stigma...the same stigma that Top Flight has never been able to get done.

Found the FG Tour for $32/ dozen locally. It's a great ball although in humid weather it's not particularly long. it felt perfect in the spring but as the weather warmed it seemed to lose it's crispness off the driver. Didn't notice any difference off the irons, though...love hitting long irons with it..For $32, it's still my ball of choice. Price no object, perhaps the pro-V...but price is an object and I'm not convinced I'll score any differently with the pro V...and love the way the FG comes off the putter.

I ordered a dozen of the Wilson FG Tour out of curiosity. I read some of the reviews and was a bit put off so made no concerted effort to put one into play. This past week I reached into the bag on the first tee and pulled out a FG Tour. I was very surprised at how workable it was, how long it was off the tee and what great spin it provided around the green.
I had two drives in the middle of the fairway a good 20 yards ahead of where I usually would call a good drive for me. I am 64 and have driver ss around 90 and was finding my ball along side or even ahead of my fellow competitors, younger fellows, who always have been well ahead of me off the tee.
Chipping and putting were great fun.
I might add this ball seems to have a seam and like the old Pro-V's, if you tee the ball with the seam longitudinally, it goes.
The cover was very durable and I could easily use the ball at least another 18, it appears.

I bought 5 dozen recently on the bay for about $28 delivered to my door. Excellent ball. That said bought some Tour I(s) from Timtheputterman for about the same price. Very similar balls in my opinion. The Wilson FG is a great ball at the 30 dollar range.

$5 per sleeve at my local golf shop when I buy them by the sleeve version the whole does, which is priced at $32.99, not sure why there is a discrepancy in price but I don't mind.

Great ball and the local shop in my town carries them. He told me $27 per dozen.

So how do these compare to the Nike One balls? Seems like they are similar price point wise, just wondering how they compare.

I played the FG against the ONE Tour the other day FG is softer, longer off the tee and more durable. Both played well, but twice the FGTour was 10-15 yrds beyond the One Tour.

That is interesting. Since the FG is a 3 piece and the One Tour is a four piece, I assumed it would be longer. But I am surprised it is softer. If I come across a good deal on some, I will have to try them out.
