Taller players and those with flatter putters

I am 6'1'' and my putter is at least 4-5 degrees flat. Just feels good to me, maybe it is from my hockey days...not sure. But I have never putted better in my life. When I was playing professionally I did not have a putter fit until late in my career and to this day it is something that irks me. My last year as a pro I was on staff with TM and I went through the SAM putter lab and they suggested a really flat putter and I still have it and it works very well. Since then I have purchased a Rife with the adjustable lie system and it was awesome for me. I was able to get on the green and roll a silly amount of putts to see what really worked for me at that time and the ability to adjust it whenever I want is similar to the situation that I had when I was a pro. I guess a fitting system like the SAM lab or Edel would save some time and effort.

Funny I'm also a hockey player. Do you know the max adjustability of those rifes? Thanks!

I'm 6'4 and I play all mine 4-5* Flat.

I am 6"3 and use a putter that is 2 degrees flat, but is also 33'' long and my friends consider me a excellent putter. I like how I can let my arms hang down ane create a pendulum stroke. Hope this helps

I'm 6'4" and play my putter at 36" and 69*. This is flatter than standard but not so flat that I cannot keep the shaft in line with my forearms at set up as per Utley's recommendation.

After reading Utley's book and adopting that putting style I switched to the same specs - 36" and 69* lie.
I'm 6'1" but my wrist-to-floor is more like someone who is 6'4".
After a couple months getting used to the change, practicing, I'm now putting lights out: 6-8 one-putts per round and no three-putts over my last three rounds.

I really don't. I have bent the heck out of mine and all appears ok. I even went way to flat to see what happened and mine appears to be in good working order.

I'm 6'4" and play a 34 inch 66* (4-6* flat) putter. Went to Studio B couple years ago and haven't looked back since. Get fit. Won't regret it.
