High Launching Driver?

for high trajectory, just go for a higher loft driver.

Clint, looks like I may have a very similar swing profile as you do. Low left misses and SS100. Most drivers these days launch high enough for us, I believe, and I have tried lots of them for the past 6 months. It's the shaft that will have a huge effect on the launch condition.

The key for me is to stay clear of those drivers that are known for low launching/low spinning. J33 420, 460, SQ (non tour), and some of the Titleist drivers, are for example. Apart from that you should do fine with any drivers with the right shaft. R5 TP, R7425 TP are good choices, square face and solid. R7 HT TP looks great and should fit the bill (I haven't tried this one). Cobras launch high in general but I dont know if you can deal with the hook face. As above poster said, moving up a loft from what you normally play will help elevate launch angle, although I didnt have any success myself when I tried going up to 10.5* (not enough roll).

These are just what I experienced. Others may not agree. Hope it helps.

Give the Nike Sasquatch, or cleveland Hi-bore a try, both will deliver a little higher launch. You will sacrafice alittle left to right but they will work for your fix.

Thanks for the info. Yeah I used to have a titleist driver but quickly knew it wasn't for me. The closed faces of the Cobra drivers doesn't fit me too well either. I was thinking about the Hibore. I have a buddy who has one and it sits pretty square. I don't for some reason like the look of the Sasquatch. It just seems to big. I was also thinking of a TP driver. I would like to give the 425 tp a go but the price is a litte much for me. That is why I was thinking more along the lines of a r5 TP or a R7 TP shallow. I haven't heard much on the shallow but it sounds like it would fit me good being that it is higher launching and that it has a square face. Anybody else?

Just demoed the Tour Edge Exotics 9 Deg with Aldila NV-65S. My swing speed is low 100's, medium tempo. Hit this thing at least as high if not higher than my G5 with the same shaft. Craploads more carry, couldn't believe how high I was hitting a 9. Misses were a lot less severe, the club just feels like you will get very accurate with practice.

If you can forget about brand names, this is a serious club.

I'm in Australia, and I don't think they have been on the scene here very long but I'm now selling my G5 and am looking at paying $600-$700AUD for this club. :cheesy:

Get fitted, I Was hitting a very very low drive and hitting a hil and stopping short, I Got fitted for a cleveland launcher ti 460 with a graffoly prolaunch shaft and i have a almost perfect launch now, With anything i'd recommend getting fitted for the right shaft if anything this graffoly prolaunch has been working great its helped my game alot, if you want something high launching clevelands the way to go
