You never know what will turn up next...

I was traveling back from a week at the lake house and stopped by a sporting goods store in Lexington to check over the used club racks. Mostly just crap but I did find a Tad Moore TM-11 that looks like it's been in a time capsule since it was born. It has a few of the smallest dings or dents imaginable for a putter that's probably 15 years old and I attribute those to ordinary shop wear. I really don't think the putter was ever outdoors or used at all. The grip is perfect with all of the paint still in the cap and even a little rubber flashing on the seam near the end of the grip. There was even a nice Tad Moore headcover that came with it, and the shaft label is still perfect.

I think this putter may be a little heavier than the TM-4 due to the wider flange and although I don't have a specific weight it feels the same as my Cameron Laguna Classic. I think it's going into the bag this afternoon and I'll give it a few rounds. I really like the size and shape of the grip and I'm surprised that the shape is not in wider use today.

A couple photos of the grip. It's league night tonight and this is the only putter making the trip. Usually I take out several putters and mess around and pick one before I tee off. Tonight there's only one putter making the trip to the course.

Here is another fun putter I picked up a couple weeks ago. It makes a Ping 1-A like sound but rings a little longer. I doubt that this one ever sees an actual round of golf but it's still fun.

If anyone knows anything about this one I'd love to hear it.
