Scotty Custom Shop--Returning Weights

Since the custom shop has released the weight wrench and is returning the original weights if they are swapped; will they offer thhe weights only for sale?

Also, what are the heaviest weights that the custom shop has? I have 3-Scotty's with 20g weights and would like to get 25's.

The weights are avaliable in Tungsten at 25g and 30g for $70ish sent into the shop. The heaviest is 30g. Currently they only sell the tool to remove the weights. To have weight added you still have to send them into the shop.... for now.

You would think SC would eventually sell the weights seperately. You can always pick up used "authentic" weights via ebay, forums etc. And now that you actually get your weights back when you send them in there will be more on the "used" market.

You could always just keep the weights before you sent it in.

Can I remove my 20g weights and put some lead under the weight and reinstall? A little ghetto, but $70. is a bit spendy; 25% of the original putter cost.

The 20g weights are solid.... there is no room "underneath" to add leadtape. I know... I looked myself. LOL There are several on ebay offering aftermarket weights. I think ones I got were $31 for a set and some have a best offer option. I bought a pair of 25g weights and they fit perfect into my Cali Del Mar. My only problem was the aftermarket weight holes were I believe a little bigger than SC weight ones. However I was taking 2 drill bits (not the drill ends) and putting them in the holes across from each other and taking a 3rd drill between them to remove the weights. Cameron now has the $48 wrench but my less than $3 "wrench" works exactly the same.

Also if you decide to send your putter to the CS I would suggest taking the weights out before you send it. They will not return the weights that the putter came with.

They changed their policy from what I've read and heard and will return the weights now, which they used to not do.
