1st round with new ball..WOW

Played ProV1X for past few years...Not anymore

So I just got off the course after picking up a dozen of the TM Penta prior to the round. These are similar in length off the tee (maybe slightly shorter with the driver, but very close to the ProV1) but longer with the irons and great for wedges. They hop and stop without the excessive spin of the original prov's. They feel great when chipping and feel soft off the putter. I felt like I could work the ball pretty easily and the ball felt like it compressed all day. I have been anti TM for a long time..still don't play any of the clubs for now (The superdeep would be a driver if mine was stolen though). This 5 piece ball is great. I know there are a lot of reviews loving this ball but I am another soldier on the train. Shot 37 35 for an even 72 this afternoon. I have made a permanent switch and don't see myself looking back. GO PENTA!!

no way. I'll stick to the Xs - The are much harder which I like and I can tell the ProV1x is longer than the penta off the tee.

Yeap my pro at my club is Taylormade and has stop selling ProV1s just Penta's and Srixon. TM stuff.
Penta is a great ball but still game the ProV1x and Penta for windy days.

The biggest positive about the Penta's IMHO is that they are significantly more durable than the Pro V1's.

I had forgot to even mention this..but I played a full 18 holes with the same ball and hit 3-4 low spinning approaches and it only left a small mark. I could get 2-3 rounds per ball with these...much different than my previous ProV1s...

Much better than the Pro V1 and X in my opinion. Very dependable and predictable.
