Definitely a OIAMSOBUFF putter....I recognize that background. He's has/had some very beautiful stuff.

Beautiful putter!!!!! First of all, I wanted to give a heartfelt hello to my friend Gxgolfer. I wanted to ask you Cameron gurus which other putters besides a tour putter Scotty Cameron used the black pearl finish. I would imagine that would be a problem in the sunlight. I think one of the Holiday putters had that same finish. You take care Ryan and I will post again thanks to you. Michael

If you look at early "black pearl" camerons, they seem different than these. The My Girls have this finish, as did the Holiday napa.

What is the significance of the "009" designation?  Do the 009 putters mimic the shape of Pings with zip codes ending in 009?

I think the 009 is the based on the San Marcos Zip code where the shop is located. Their are very subtle differences between a regular newport and a 009. This is from JVGolf, from the RealCameronFanClub on yahoo.

A couple of other subtleties of the 009 are:

 

1. It has a very subtle flat sole, exactly like a flat-sole

Co./Dalehead Anser. Not as noticable as the flat sole on a

production or Tour Newport 2, though.

 

2. The cavity is milled deeper than most Newports and

the "scallop"

design in the cavity is (again) similar to a Karsten Co./Dalehead.

Also the BBC is based on the 009 design.

You used to be able to get that grip through Scotty's custom shop - just send in your putter. Don't know if they still have that one as they change from time to time. They also have a red one that looks just like the blue one.
