Scratch Golf wedge in David Duval's bag

Saw it yesterday at the Barclay's

I spent the day yesterday at the Barclay's watching the first round of the playoffs. It was alot of fun. Watched Tiger for a couple holes, he looked to be on top of his game again atleast for yesterday. I also happened upon David Duval and followed him for a few holes. It is nice to see him playing well again. One very interesting thing, I saw a Scratch wedge in David's bag! At first I was not sure but I got right up next to his bag on a tee box and it was definitely a Scratch wedge. Very cool to see Scratch getting some more Tour exposure. Hopefully David has a good week and can secure his card for 2011.

I just posted about this also in the Barclays picture comments thread. Scratch just tweeted something about a former #1 player in the world putting their wedges in play and was 2 under after two rounds. I figured it had to be him.

Wonder, does DD not have a 13 club deal with Nike? I know he's been experimenting with a TM driver as of late.

As a big Scratch fan and an even Bigger DD fan I hope this is true. Of course at some point I'm sure all the DD bashing will begin because Nike "is dropping" him. If they do part ways, I hope DD goes the route to put something in play that is similar to the Titleist equipment he played during his run to #1.....

I think Nike has been more than fair sticking to their contract with David sponsoring him all this time. Obviously he is never going to be the player he was, so why would anyone bash David or Nike? Can't expect Nike to renew with a player that isn't getting them any positive press or victories. Maybe new equipment could help him but I doubt it.

I agree - it appears that Nike has been very good to him through this slump. He has been good to them by willing to make a little fun of his poor play in one of their commercials (when the Nike staff players were going through Tiger's garage)

I'd love to see DD throw the old DCI B's back in to the bag and start throwing darts at the flag again! LOL
