You didn't like the retail RAC's? I have a RAC Black 5208 and love it, feel and spin is terrific.

I do play for some release with my short game shots though. Do you like to hit a lot of flops/lobs etc...?

i liked the retail satin for a gap wedge as it did release and i didn't want to suck the ball back with a gap...but they still don't compare to the ping tours for flops and pure bite...the sw is the only club i want to do this with and can get release with it too...but man can i make that thing just stick...

Ping Tour wedges come in two finishes: chrome (with ferrule) and a brushed, non-glare finish...I think its called guysen (without ferrule). As mentioned by another member, WRX can custom grind your wedges. Ping also has a low bounce model (8*) available... although I'm not sure it it available on all of their wedges. I have the 58* with low bounce and the "TS" grind, which collectively, make this an insanely good wedge.

I just order 2.. a 54 and 58.. 58 in 8* bounce with heel relief..

PING also claims they measure bounce a bit differently.. 8* bounce being equivilant to 4* in other OEM's wedges

has anyone else had the problem feeling like they lost yardage with these wedges. I had a 56 with a stock shaft mind you, but I could kill the thing and hit it 90 yards when I was hitting my cleveland 105. It could very easily have been the shafts and now I've moved on to 54 58 combo as well. I want a review of the black tour wedges as well when someone gets thier hands on a set (the clevelands need a rest)

Hi Tincup, thanks for the info on the bounce. Just to join the Ping wedge fan-club, my Ping SW has got to be one of my favourite clubs from crap lies (as long as they aren't thin). The last time I lent it to someone it took weeks to get it back :vava:
