WARNING HIGH RES!!!!
Thanks to Brad (sixxiron) for some INCREDIBLE PICS and INFO!!!

Here is some info on some new equipment “scoops” from the 2005 International.

First up, two beauties from Titleist and Scotty Cameron. The Titleist rep let me get some exclusive pics of a new Red X test sample and a tour only 009. The new Red X is a bigger, heavier mallet that is designed to be a belly putter. The test sample was so new that it didn’t even have a grip yet, they were just trying to get some player feedback about the look and feel of the head. The 009, well, the pics speak for themselves. If you have never seen a tour Cameron, there is a difference between these incredible putters and what we get at retail. The finish, stamping, fit and mill work on this putter is second to none! What a SWEET putter.

The next cool news comes from Yes!/C-Groove golf. The rep from Yes! was gracious enough to turn me on to two new additions to the C-Groove line. Both of which have not been released to the marketplace. The first new addition is a putter named “Tiffany”. The Tiffany is a neo-mallet in the vein of the two ball but with different lines and the proven C-Groove technology. Very cool! The other addition to the lineup is “Dianna”. The Dianna is a mid-slant Anser/Newport style putter without a sight line. The hip factor on this is way up due to the C-Groove technology and the variable sole weighting that allows the end user to change from 330gms-350gms and the toe and the heel can be weighted differently to help your natural stroke. Hat’s off to both the Cameron and Yes! rep for allowing me to see these new products up close!

The last “scoop” from the International is something that I have seen posted on many forums lately and that is Justin Leonard’s new “Nike” putter. As Justin was coming off of the 18 green, I asked his caddie (you never get what you don’t ask for…) if I could take a picture of Justin’s putter. As you can tell from the pic, it is a milled Anser style putter. What the picture doesn’t show is that this putter has a beach slot cut in the sole. Sorry I couldn’t get any pics of the face and sole but I had to move quickly as I had caught his caddie off guard and didn’t have much time to take shots.

I hope that you enjoy the other pics from the 2005 International!

    Sixx
