uPro course requests

Hi,

got one of these lovely devices for xmas, I am very impressed.

One problem though, I've got two courses at my one golfing location and only one of the courses on the available maps (even basic).

Anyone know how responsive they are too new course requests and how long they've taken?

I have a similar dilemma as the two courses I'm a member at are available but only for basic and many other courses I play in the area aren't even offered as basic. I've requested them but have yet to receive a response or see any added. Maybe we should post the courses we want added in this thread and everyone go request them... lol.

I too own the upro and am very happy with it's performance............In reading some of the reviews, course updates were one of the upro's weaknesses..........Just a short story of my experience with it.........my home course was bought out 2 years ago, and new owners switched the front and back 9's around. I immediately let Callaway/Upro know and it took almost a year for them to make the change....................

TBH the course Im missing is not the better course however it would be great to have yardage maps.

I think i'll ring them next week on the technical support line...worth a go!

Maybe course requests will go quicker...........On the good side, their customer service is second to none. I've had to call a time or two and found them to be very friendly and helpful always......

Most other smartphone apps like Golfshot, Yourgolf etc have the course so can't see why its so difficult for callaway to do it...

I purchased a UPro in late December 2009, I requested 10 courses during the first 2 weeks I owned it. Most of these courses have been mapped for use by other GPS devices, I sold the UPro in November 2010, only 1 course of those requested had been mapped at that time, really not acceptable IMO.

I'm surprised they don't even have some of the courses you want in basic mode. They have every course around me in basic, even some courses that are pretty much just goat pastures. It does seem like it takes them forever for a requested pro mode to get done though. Its the downside to the uPro for sure. I have one and have been extremely happy with mine in all other aspects.

I'm still waiting for my town's redesigned muny to be remapped. I put in the request over 3 months ago. Got a reply that I would be notified when it would happen. No word yet.

Glad I didn't sell my iGolf Neo. THEY had it done a week after the course reopened. At least I can use that. Not very happy at all that I can't use my uPro Go on a couse I'll play over 40 times this year.

I'm curious what area has many unmapped courses. Around here (Virginia & Maryland) they've had every course I've tried (~30).

One of my local courses had the nines flipped last summer. I notified uPro and it was changed in about a month.

I live in a retirement community that has over 20 exec. courses. Late last year 2009 they opened 4 new exec.courses. I requested them to be mapped and to this day none have been mapped. On other qps (Golf buddy and Sky Caddie) these courses have been added. Don't know what there problem is but to me that is unacceptable. However, we have 9 championship course and over 20 exec. courses that have all been mapped. However, nothing in the past year.

I have played about 25 different courses in four states on the east coast and they have all been mapped.
The one course I put in for a request took about a month.

I have the Upro ..... and I have or at the least have had almost all the other name brand gps out there.... I like the Upro best.... I like the Garmin G5, but if you think Upro doesnt have alot of courses- good luck with the G5.

I think Upro offers a very good selection of courses.... but I agree, if you request a course-seems like thats almost a waste of time....

I've had no trouble with course updates at home in Northern California. But I'm in Japan now and although the uPro isn't officially sold here, they do have all the courses available for request. They even have a small handful of courses that have been made available for download. I made requests about a year ago for 10 courses I play in the Tokyo area, but so far no luck. If there's anybody up for a uPro course request exchange, please let me know!

I know the Golfshot app is not expensive, but I'm still hoping to use my uPro here.

I've put in a couple of course requests and was very happy with the response time. Even for a crappy little Par 3 course, they only took about a week or so.

I have emailed them several times about a course that I need mapped. It is not even listed on the website to be requested, even though I put in the request over two months ago. If anyone has any extra time and would like to help, if you could please email Callaway Customer Support and ask them to map [b]Real Golf De Bendinat[/b], in Mallorca, Spain. The images on google are clear and I am wondering why they havent even added it to the website to be requested.
