Not on the V2 base unit, no.

What i don't get after thinking it through is, Bushnell all last summer Bashed GPS on their infomercial and now sound like the Biggest hypocrite in promoting both. And if they are using igolf's maps, good luck. I have seen a couple buddies of mine try the neo and send it back because how far off yardages were. I guess they think GPS is a threat and now realize One number is not good enough? I think this unit will slow play down with all the work you have to do...I guess I'll go to Golfsmith a check it out........

this was my idea! lol. i said this a couple years ago when i bought my laser. i don't get how this would slow play or why this is not a good idea. More info quicker slows play and is not beneficial? if you are not in sight of the flag it takes an extra couple seconds to figure out the distance and having the gps on the same device would shorten that process and speed up play.

I play a couple courses where this would work. One par 4 in particular has a huge slope in the fairway. No way you can see the green for your second shot. I mean, you will have to run up to the crest to get an aiming point to the flag, but this will tell you how far it is.

Will I be buying one? No.

I am definitely going to get one. GPS and Laser in one will surely speed up play. If you can see the flag you laser it which takes 10-30 seconds. If you don't see the flag you glance at the GPS for an instant reading. It settles the debate we've all seen on this message board over which is better technology? If it performs well, it should be a winner.

Conceptually this is a great idea. I thought about this idea as well. Bushnell's execution of the idea seems okay, but I am curious about the performance of the unit. I already have the Pinseeker rangefinder, why would I drop down in performance just for convenience. Not sure that I would. I may just get a Garmin to go with my Pinseeker. Still intrigued though.

I think it is a GREAT idea. I have used iGolf before I bought a V2 ( Slope ) and it actually worked really well. The guys I played with were always mad that they paid all this money for SkyCaddie and the thing I bought off ebay for 25 dollars worked just as well. I would like to see this with Slope and I would pick it up in a heartbeat.

meh. If it had the graphics like the SGX then it is a different story. Such a unit would be damn useful as you can see the layout of the hole with the doglegs, bunkers etc and then as you get close, you can laser the pin.

That makes more sense than the neo superglued to the v2 that Bushnel has created. Just my opinion.

Since both systems have their merits, this is a great combination. I think everyone who has one or the other has wondered why something like this wasn't invented yet!

I wouldn't buy this first year model, but when the technology improves and the competition for these devices heats up. I think this hybrid type of unit will certainly dominate the market.

Hopefully my Medalist laser will last a few more years, by that time there should be lots of these to choose from.

To the poster above: Bushnell (like most for-profit entities) is on whichever side of the fence will generate the money.

anchor it on the 1500/1600 model and I'd buy...as someone previously said, on the V2 platform, H#LL NO. The V2 is a POS in my book.

Hopefully they will listen and deliver this request. Until then I will have to use this new bad boy!!!

Easier to carry both a GPS and laser. Why do you need it connected to each other? GPS in the cupholder for longer distance shots, laser at hand when you need accurate, to the pin, distances. Not rocket science. My combo is Golf Buddy with 1500. Perfect setup.
[/quote]
That's true. I just like the idea of having both technologies all wrapped up into one device.

So when the pin is in the exact middle of the green and the laser measurement says 158 to the flag and the GPS says 149 to the middle ..... who do I see about this problem?

This combo unit will really point out how bad the GPS numbers are.

Have a Bushnell XGC actually a very accurate product checking all the time against laser and other gps, when it works. Bushnell's problem is using IGOLF for software. Now they, Igolf, are worthless as all get out. If you have an issue with software, Igolf support are a bunch of clowns. Bushnell knows they have a partner problem on their hands. You are really rolling craps.

So you can buy a new neo at sams club for $70 with a year's subscription included..... then buy whatever laser you want for 300 or so..... or you can buy this. It's kind of sad that it literally looks like they strapped a neo to the side of the thing.

Now if they had the distances to front, middle, and back also broadcast inside the eyepiece along with the target that the laser is on, that would be pretty cool.
