Aerotech Steelfibers are great shafts, lots of options, easy to play with and customize for your preferences. Great for vibration dampening, increasing length for slower swing players and play stiffer than normal graphite, but still very easy to handle. They were my first graphite iron shafts and have them in my old R5 driver and 3 wood.

They are a little expensive, but worth it if you can find a set of pulls from someone. They play close to steel and I believe were the first shafts to incorporate steel fibers (something like 50+ miles per shaft) around a graphite core for a great shaft that plays like steel, but with graphite benefits.

Love my Players Spec, daughter loves her i70s. No complaints. Distance control is simply amazing.

This is for the Aerotech Steelfiber Iron series (i95 and i125)
I was skeptical going from my DG X100s into these but I do not regret the move at all!!!!. I now play the i95 Stiff in a set of Miura 501s 3-PW and the i125 Stiff in my wedges. Smoother, more stable than typical graphite, no vibration and probably the easiest iron shaft to work. I can do anything with these, high/low left/right it does not matter. You are getting the benefits on graphite in power and weight while not loosing any stability, loosing distance, distance control and maintaining a nice mid penetrating trajectory with NO ballooning. The up side to these is that you can get the flex you need and desire, maintain the control over the trajectories and be able to get them in various weights. As low as 70 up to 125 comparable to typical steel.

I cant tell you how many people I have fit into these who absolutely love these and wish they had changed years ago. Even had people by sets on the wall and had me install Steelfibers into them paying for the up charge. I say that cause most OEMS dont offer these as custom. Definately try these out, you wont be disappointed!

just put the i125cw s in my scratch irons and love them...

[b]i first bought a set of TM R7 tps with i 70 a flex. pretty cheap on ebay. i liked them. i now have them in my rocketbladez but tipped 1 inch. this seems to be perfect so far. my typical ball flight is low with spin but i can hit these pretty high if i need to. and as someone else mentioned distance control is outstanding.[/b]

Love my i95's. Make sure of the weight change from steel to graphite though - I could have went with i125 as a direct replace for my Ping shaft.

Great shafts value wise. Nice solid tip section helps keep the ball pretty low.

I'm curious as I have the KBS 125 Stiff shafts and am just about to switch to SteelFiber 95s because the place I'm getting them doesn't offer the 125s. Do you find the difference in weight ok?

i95 Stiffs in my AP2 714's..... Wouldn't have them any other way!!!

hace the 110cw in my s55's and they're awesome. Just ordered a Glide with 125 in it and will most likely get 2 more for my scratch wedges.

I have Project X 5.5 in my irons since the beginning of the year, but it's causing me muscle pain in the right forearm.
Do the Steelfiber shaft in stiff really reduce the vibration vs Px ?

Absolutely they do. IMHO they play very similar to the Pxi series, but with less vibration.

I have i95's Stiff in my PING Rapture J-Specs and simply LOVE the shafts. Got my 1st EVER hole-in-one back in 2013 with these irons, and my testimonial was posted on the Aerotech website. Control, great ball flight, awesome feel & distance! Highly recommend these shafts!

59 miles of material in each shaft- super consistent- play a bit stiffer to flex- kuch n sneds play 95s

@igolf8 I didn't find them playing stiffer than what they are. In fact, I get slightly higher ball flight with the i95's in stiff flex (same as Sneds plays) than I did with Dynamic Gold S300's or Project X 6.0's. Much smoother feel and more distance with the i95's as well. They're not cheap, but worth every penny in my books. Hope that helps. Cheers!

I think finding the right weight is as important as flex for the steelfibers... I started testing the 95s and 80s in my 7 iron (reg flex) - my SS is about 95mph with the driver and I would describe my flaws as not compressing the golf ball properly.

Anyways the 95s felt awful with my Callaway Apex CF 16s, I even tried to soft step them. On the other hand my 80s feel amazing! Completely worth the money.

I'm looking for some advices.

I'm 54 year old, 2 hdc, and always played stiffer shafts that I should. My SS is 97 with the driver.

I played dynamic gold SL stiff last year, then switched for modus 105 stiff with no good result.

I tried steelfiber i95 stiff (my joints begin to hurt). It seems good for me and very easy to load.

However, i could read on the site that, with my SS 97m/h, i should play regular.

I already sent high with the stiff and HAD no pain.

I hesitate between 95 regular or stiff, or maybe the 110gr in regular.

I played i95s in 714 AP2s and they were solid. Even though lighter than the steel shafts I played, I didn't see any distance gain. They did "feel" a little better than steel and were just as consistent as stated by many on this forum. Has anyone noticed any distance changes with steelfiber?

I have J88 stiff in a set of BFG CB003 irons (google is your friend !)

I've only played a few rounds with them but I really like how they feel, the ball flight and how they hold up when i really go after a shot. Having gamed Vega VC-03 Prototypes with Modus 120 and some Fourteen TCs with KBS Tour stiff the steelfibers are a revelation - easy to swing, great feel, shock resistance and ball flight that i can tailor when needed.

I would email the guys at aerotech. They're usually quick to get back to you with any details you might need. I've reached out to them and they got back to me within a few hours.

Love my i110cw in stiff. I soft stepped them and find them to play similar to DG shafts. I you feel you may be between flexes, pic a weight and HS or SS.

I have found a few of the OEMs offer the i95 and i110 as a custom option, but no one has the i125. I wish the OEMs would stock more options for wedges.

I played the Players Spec AMI 99 shafts for about a season and a half. I had a pretty interesting time with researching and selecting the shafts and all the details so I'll give as thorough response as possible.

I bought the shafts off a fellow WRX'er at the end of 2013. They were one time pulls and were about as clean as could be. I brought them to my local PGA Tour Superstore along with Adams XTD Forged iron heads that were professionally pulled and cleaned. The guys at the store put them together for me and did a great job. The only problem I had with the clubs initially was that they had some extremely light swing weights (C range). Even the 4 iron which was the heaviest came out in the neighborhood of C-8 or something like that. I was informed they could not do any tip weighting to the shafts because they have a graphite core. They also could not add any tungsten powder into the tip of the shaft to help. The only way to achieve constant swing weight would be to go ahead and toss lead tape on the heads. I wasn't too keen on ruining what was the prettiest set of irons I'd ever had so I just dealt with it.

My initial impression of the shafts when it came to using them was just how well I could feel the head of the club despite the light swing weight. Next was how consistent the ball flight was across the board with them. The flight was mid-low. I call it that because I was coming off Ping CFS Stiff flex shafts which I felt were more mid-high. These were a lower flight than CFS and lower spin also. But they weren't as low as I had experienced with other shafts like Project X or KBS C-Taper shafts.

The next thing I noticed when it came to steelfiber shafts was that they absorbed a ton of vibrations. Being the tail end of the season up here when I got them, most ranges were on mats. Now I know many of us have hit range balls off mats before and we all know that shock of catching one heavy. And we know the feel of dead range balls. These shafts absorbed the shock from the mats and the clacky feel from range balls (Srixon/Wilson). Now although they absorbed vibrations, they didn't leave you guessing if you hit the ball well or not. You still had "feel" in them of a well struck shot or a poor one. But you didn't have the additional vibrations that come with a poor shot and sting your hands, wrists, elbows, etc. It's tricky to describe but it's like if firing a .22 cal rifle is the feel of a good shot (not much of a kick) and firing a 12 gauge is the feel of a poor struck shot (kick of a Clydesdale), the shafts brought the feel of mishits down to the feel of an average rifle.

The best part about the shafts is that they really help with elbow, wrist, and hand pain. I really am impressed with them and can't imagine going back to any other shafts.

I will say, the problem was that it took almost a month to get used to the feel and performance of the shafts. Coming from DG S300 shafts (130ish grams) to Players Specs (99 grams), the weight was a huge difference and it really took a lot of time working with them to get used to it.

I am planning to do the same thing in a set of 716 AP2's, going from PX 5.5 to SteelFiber i95 in R-flex. I've tested it and the feel/shock absorption is much improved.

Ive got the i95 (Adams Pro Gold) and 110cw (Callaway CF 16). Love the i95. Can anyone explain the differences?
