New Bag

Recommended Posts

4th this year!
Alright this is my first thread here, and it's kind of a rant/question. I bough a Ping J bag this winter, I thought it was pretty good of a bag but it just wouldn't stand up! It turns out one time when it fell over a peice inside the bag broke and because it was under warrenty I got to upgrade to a Extreme. This bag is really nice but now the material on the ball pocket is frahing beyong all heck! The thing is less then 60 days old and it looks like its 10 years old! Im going to take this one back also to Golf Town to find another new golf bag. It will be my 4th one this year. :idhitit:

Now I need to know what are good solid, bags that will last a while? I dont want to have another inciedent like before with my 2 pings. So unforuntunatly I think I will have to steer away from them. My dad has an OGIO which I like but Im not sure on the model. Im open to any suggestions that are resonably price. I always walk so I dont want a big clunky staff bag.

Thanks,
Brad

PS. This site rocks, my dad loves it because he's a big ping HO.

I have an Ogio Grom and it's awesome. It has many features, the coolest of which is the zipperless ball pocket...it operates on a sort of hinge mechanism or something. Really cool! Also has an insulated water bottle pocket and the stand mechanism works perfectly.

Ogio makes the Callaway stand bags, and some others I believe. The great thing about having the Ogio is that when you change clubs, you can keep the same bag.

My two cents for what it's worth.

I agree with tpariff...the Ogio Grom is a sweet bag.  I've had mine since Mar and it still looks brand new...quality is top notch and the clubs never get stuck.

Thanks guy's I looked at bags last night and I saw the ogio bags. I think it was the grom that I saw. The zipperless ball pocket is really cool of a feature and it does have just enough pockets for all my stuff which I really like. Punchy I espically really like the fact that the you said your clubs don't get stuck. In both the J-Bag and more recently the Extreme the clubs are getting stuck and not sitting right.

I have the Titleist X56 and for walking there is no better bag.  It's held up very well as it is almost a year old and looks like new.

Bert I did check out the titliest too, but it didn't blow me away really but thank you for the suggestion.

Now to those who know ogio bags, how would you compare the Grom to say the Exo? I can't remeber but I think it was the exo that I also saw last night and I liked the look of it too. Plus in came in my normal colour of choice, all black.

I believe the Grom is lighter in weight.

The Exo may be more durable because of the Exo-Skeleton.

You ought to try the Oggio website for all their bags and take a look.

Well I was lucky enough to get the last all black exo golf town had. Its a really nice bag it has just enough pockets for all my stuff. The ZBP is kick a**. But most importantly to me is the stand. With the J and the Extreme for me they stand was crap and would tip. This one is alot better I couldn't be happier. :vava: ;) (cool)

I'm a BIG TIME OGIO bag fan.

I know their Woode clug organizer system isn't perfect - but in my view it's the best system on the market.

I also own the Taylor Made R7 Stand bag, which I love for it's design and vivid colors, but the club organizer in the R7 Stand bag sucks BIG TIME ;)

The Mizuno Twister has the Kabhuki club system, and I't almost as good as the Ogio Woode, but not better.

On top of that Ogio has the best stand system of them all - the stand on my R7 bag is CRAP and the bag will tend to tip over in windy conditions if you don't place the legs deep into the ground.

I also like what Ogio does with pockets and zipperless ball compartments and other high tech stuff - in my view Ogio is one step ahead of all the other bag manufactors out there :vava: (cool)

I already own two Ogio bags, and I'm looking out for the new Ogio Edge stand bag, which I think is going to be my next Ogio bag.
