new taylormade ball?

does anybody know if taylormade is coming out with a new tour ball this year?

Seems like they're running the black away so it's possible they introduce another 3 piece. That's the only one I can think besides the update to the Burner, Burner TP and Burner tour balls.

I heard last November of plans to release a "Quattro"/I guess 4 piece ball. I was talking to a TMAG Asia connection so that could be Japan only.

another ball?? i love the pentas but they are way too spinny.. has anyone else had this problem?

ya they're spinny for sure..but i still spin prov1's more, what kinda wedges do you use? i think that makes more of a difference, i was using callaway x-forged with c-grind and i couldnt stop a penta or any other tour ball from spinning 20 feet of the greens..but going back to my taylormade z wedges i have alot more control with spin

I just wish they would bring the TP Red LDP back.

I heard it was going to be the same color as the R11 drivers.

The Penta's are the only premium ball that hasn't gone on sale this holiday season and all retailers seem to have more of them in stock than their other premium balls.

That says to me that consumers aren't willing to pay the premium for the Penta. I've tried it and it is okay, but at $46 a box vs ProV1s at $40, ZStars at $25-$30, and Nike Tours at $30 it is a hard value argument to make.

I picked up the burner tour balls a few weeks ago and finally got to play them today. Felt like butter coming off the clubs. Had a nice roll on the green (slower greens). I used everything in my bag except my driver but it seemed to spin less but was a lot more accurate for me. all in all I have found my ball for the season. I still may try the titleist pro v1x but it would take a lot for me to switch.

I hope not. I still have 3 dozen Penta's left.

I was wondering if they were coming with a new ball or a new Penta version because because gppgolf.com is currently selling the Pentas for cheap - way under $40 per dozen.
