I just bought a new bag for the first time in 6 years. My old bagboy one is still in good shape after 500 rounds and 5 golf trips. I just upgraded to the bagboy revolver to hold my clubs from banging together and love it.

I purchase a new golf bag when my old golf bag is no longer functional. My current bag has about 300 rounds on it and still looks new.

I've had a sun mountain c-130 for 8 years. Probably 30 rounds a year plus 4 or 5 out of town golf trips. Still looks brand new.

I've had a Titleist stand bag since 2007. I have another Nike that I got as a gift and switched in for a year and a half, but both are in great shape and I have no plans of buying another one anytime soon. To me $ spent on golf bags is $ not spent on clubs or tee times...

Pretty sure I've already responded... I used to be squarely in the "until it falls apart" camp but in the last 12 months I've bought 2 New bags, about to buy a third, and have bought 4 Goodwill or sub-$20 Craig's List bags. I keep coming across great bags that are functionally worth MUCH more than they're selling for, but I really need to stop. My Goodwill club finds are also a driver for me about to pickup a '17 Ogio Silencer... I have ~$40 in Goodwill finds that will come out to north of $200 in trade value given the current RBG 50% bonus, and the Silencer is the only thing really screaming at me regardless of my current cart bag only being ~3 months old.

I've had good success with SM customer service. So unless you want a new bag, I'd suggest letting them know about the issue and give them the chance to take care of it.

I bought a Mizuno stand bag to go with my Mizuno irons 2 years ago. I mostly cart it or use a push cart and I found it hard at times getting clubs in and out...so I bought a tour bag. Tour bags on kijiji sell for $50-$80...so...not out too much money.

Just took my beloved Jones stand bag out of service last year after 21 years. Bought it in 1995.

Felt like putting down an old dog that was suffering. The right thing to do, but I was actually sad.

I have a ping J bag that's over 10 years old. I have had a couple other bags that stored extra clubs but ended up as donations to friends picking up golf or who needed a stand bag when we wanted to walk instead of ride. I'm looking to replace the J bag and turn it into the club storage bag. However, I don't have the cash (or the need) to buy bags every year (or 5 years).

I have used the same Titleist stand bag the last 12 years. The stand doesn't work so it's basically become a cart bag and a bad one at that. I finally bought a SM C130 as I most ride but also bought a SM4.5 4way as I want a stand bag for the range and I plan to start walking a few 9 holes rounds each month as I need some exercise to get back in shape.

None for me this year (so far), but I bought 3 last year and 2 the year before. If I wasn't trying to sell my 4 extra bags, I'd probably be looking to get another one.

I usually buy a new one every 2-3 years. I've had a Bennington Quiet Organizer stand for a few years and recently got a new one, but it was mainly due to the sale price and not the necessity of needing it

I got 20 years out of my last bag. I'm into year two with the current one. At that rate, I buy .09 bags per year, lol.

I like my current bag (my first stand bag). I'll likely use it exclusively until it falls apart. That's the only reason I got rid of the last one.

My regular bag is a 6 year old sun mountain c130 that is in excellent condition and I have 12 year old sun mountain stand bag that I use for travel. I also won a bridgestone stand bag at a tournament that stores spare clubs.

I'll probably replace the c130 well before it ever wears out as I'm not keen on the 14 way top.

PS your survey needs an option for both stand and cart bag since I bet many own both.

I went through 10 bags or so over the last few years trying to find the perfect bag for all my needs. Every bag seems to have a feature I like but you cant find them all in one bag. I finally settled on the 14way Ping Hoofer. Only complaint is that it shifts/leans when its on the cart. Other than that couldn't ask for much more. Lightweight enough to carry, plenty of pockets, stand bag for the range, 14 way dividers, durable, etc...

I still have a sun mountain 3.5 carry that I really like too. Issues with that are shifts on cart and only a 4-way divider. I like my clubs a little organized. Great bag though...

Im also in the search for the perfect. Want a light weight bag with a putter well. But don't like the ones that are out or the color combinations. Seem to go through about three bags a year. Looking for the "unicorn"

Bought a Titleist Staff Stand bag in January, fell apart by April. Got some new clubs in June and wanted to grab a Taylormade stand bag, ripped open 2 weeks later. Was refunded for that bag and am done with stand bags. New Taylormade staff bag on the way.

Checks off two things I hate about bags 1. Grip clutter pulling/putting clubs in. 2. Storage. Playing/practicing 5-6 times a week, I need a ton of storage.

I'm in my own world on the course so the dirty looks at the staff bag wont bother me image/tongue.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

I picked 1 per year but it's not that many. I've bought maybe 18-20 bags in 25+ years and have not bought one in 2017 nor do I expect to.

I had a Titleist Ultralight Stand bag for the longest time. Very earliest version of that bag they made. I'll bet I bought, used briefly and ultimately gave up on half a dozen bags over those years and never stuck to a different bag for longer than a few weeks.

Finally I somehow ripped the curtain divider out loose from its stitching inside the bag on a vacation trip and had to retire it. So now I have a Titleist Lightweight Stand bag (2014 model) that I keep using. I've bought two other bags since then, a big ol' cart bag for my trolley and an ultralight "minimalist" bag. They both sit in the closet and I keep using the Titleist.

That's why I said upthread I'm pretty sure i won't be buying any more bags soon. Why pay a couple hundred bucks for something that'll be relegated to the closet after a dozen rounds?
