This next generation offering from MRC is not just a re-badged Blueboard and is a definite upgrade. Everything about it is improved. It is still a mid-launch shaft has a more boring trajectory and is noticeably between a BB and a WB. It's reduced the spin from the BB as well. Again it falls between the BB and WB. It's definitely prettier as I think you have to see it in person to appreciate the artistry involved (if you're into that sort of thing) and last but not least, it feels smoother. I have never felt a shaft that was as silky in a driver or fairway wood. I'd recomend it to anyone looking for a mid-launch, low spin shaft.

Flightscope results from 4/30/11 with Kai'li 80-X @ 45" D8 in a 8.5 J33R 460 (low-spin head)with 2010 B'stone B330S.

You could say I like the shaft.

MRC has introduced a real winner and please don't let someone tell you it's just dressed up BB because it's not.

The answer to better golf is work your butt off and learn how to hit it better, farther, and make more putts.

Would you guys recommend the kaili or ahina....

Swing Speed 100-102
Tempo is fast
Driver Distance 250-260
Hcp 7

I have played the Aldila NV green 65 stiff for the past 6 seasons and looking to upgrade my clubs this year. I bought the R11TP with fuji blur tp shaft and don't like the results (had the R7TP which was a great club), but I am due for an upgrade on the shaft. Just want your guys opinions on this shaft/club change for me and if any of you guys have a kaili or ahina in the r11tp with good results, thanks!

How does this compare to the GD YS6+ that was one of the stock options in the 905? I love that one in my 905 and just recently upgraded to the 910 with this shaft. I haven't been able to get out with it yet with the 40 mph winds here in KC! I'm just hoping it's comparable.

Anyone have a direct comparison for me to look forward to?

I play the Diamana Kai'li 60 in my driver & Kai'li 70 in my 3 wood. I have the R11s 9* driver & the R11 T3 wood. These are great shafts, very smooth feel, mid launch & lower spin with very stable tip. The Kai'li shaft is probably better for the average tempo, as I found that my smoother swing produces better results. The Kai'li shaft plays simular to the Aldila RIP or closer to the original Diamana Whiteboard vs Blueboard in my opinion. The real Diamana Kai'li is much more shaft (tighter) than the GD YS6, the made for Titleist Kai'li 65 has been softened up to fit a wider range of players, still a good feeling OEM shaft as my friend has one in his 910D2.

Just bought a made exclusively for Titleist version 65-S off eBay for $35. Gonna try it out in my VRS. Based on what I've read here, I should not be disappointed.

Amazing shaft. I've only been playing it for a week now so I'll have to see if the honeymoon effect wears off.. Got a MFT 70S for €60 off of an R11TP demo club to fit onto my RBZ Stage 2 head. This is truly something different from my old RocketFuel shaft (poorly fitted, bad shaft, it sucked...) Supersmooth, amazing control and nice numbers on the launch monitor.

I'm thinking about getting this shaft in a SLDR 3 HL. I'm looking at going with the 80 in stiff. Anyone play this combo and have any feedback on how this shaft plays with a low spin high launch head?

I landed on a Kai'li 70x for my 915D2 after some trial and error (tried a Rogue Silver 70x 110 MSI, Rombax 7W06X, White Board 73X, Motore F1 75X, RIP'd NV 75 TX, and Diamana S+ 70 TX). The Kai'li being a little higher spinning and launching shaft works well with the slightly lower spinning 915 head (at least for me) and I really like the feel of the Kai'li. The S+ was a very, very close contender, but the Kai'li edged it out. I don't have launch numbers for the Kai'li, but I imagine they're close to what I had with the S+ as follows:

Swing Speed: 105
Ball Speed: 155
Smash: 1.47
Launch: 13*
Spin: 2675
Carry: 253

I'm no giant hitter, but I got the best mix of launch conditions, dispersion and feel with the Kai'li and S+. The numbers above are with the S+ TX and I imagine the Kai'li would be substantially similar, perhaps with slightly less spin (based on appearance of the ball flight, slightly flatter apex and slightly shallower angle of descent.). If it makes any difference, the numbers are based off a GC2 reading with Callaway range balls.

Excellent all around shaft. Picked it up in stiff in a 910d2 10.5*, fit me well.

Later moved to a 915d2 12*, had a very light m+ in it, way too flexy, plugged an older aldila nv in, great control, but not enough distance.

Popped the old Kaili stiff mft in and voila- launching pretty ideally, can tell from landing angle and roll out that my spin numbers are good.

I swing low to mid 90s w my driver, and I carry the 12* adjusted down to 11.25* around 220. With rollout, I can threaten 250+ in the right conditions. The kaili launch and landing angles and spin have basically maxed me out.

Might just fit my swing and setup ideally, but I haven't hit a better shaft in my titleist drivers.
