I wanted to lose it!
I lost all of 2 golf balls in about 12 rounds of play. The last 2 times i went out - i lost a total of 17 golf balls! yes thats right - 17! 10 in 1 round! I swear I am making the golf ball companies rich.. :cheesy: :russian_roulette:

I am going through a swing change so I have had a few 2 way misses going through a round. OUCH!

So lets hear it - What is the most golf balls you ever lost in a round?

I think I actually LOSE 2-3 balls a season. I don't play very often so that helps, but I am normally very straight off the tee and in my irons, short game just hurts me.

I've lost a dozen or more on a few occasions. One of the courses I played a lot when I started had a lot of wetlands and woods. I'm not sure how many I've actually lost, but I've used a whole box of balls purchased in a round, and then proceeded to loose the "extras" that I had in my bag. I've even had to cut my round short because I ran out of balls.

I think you need to rethink your course management. If you're blasting them OB or into the trees that often off the tee, time to pull out a 5 iron a little more.

Most I think I've ever lost is 4. I average 0.7 penalties per 18 holes (that includes unplayables, etc).

Same here GizMo! Going through a swing change and lost two full sleeves and a couple more the other day. Took my first lesson and now I can't predict if my irons or going to be pushed, pulled, flipped, or anything. It was easily the most frustrating day of golf I've had in a long time. I started the season losing not one ball in my first three rounds, and from there it has been all downhill! But they say, you have to get worse to get better, so I am just accepting it for the time being!

It actually wasnt that bad off the tees. I lost 2 from there. I had a hard time figuring out which way the freakin ball was going to go off the fairway. I lost 3 to a wicked snap hook and 2 more to a big slice. Hell, one was a pulled 7 iron. It only went 25 yards or so left of targetblack%20eye.gif.

I agree KBNYY. I can see it getting worse before getting better. I now understand why Tiger has a 2 way miss! I must admit - i can see my handicap coming down if i get this right. I havent hit a ball real thin or fat since changing the swing. Just the direction!

Seen a guy do something like 20 in 18 holes. New golfer, used to playing one track, we traveled as a group to play a bush-veld course in South Africa- notorious brutal style of bush course where perfect fairways are cut through the bush. You miss and you are in no BS BUSH- its thick, hard, spikey, inhabited by less than friendly snakes.

Think the poor guy was traumatised for months afterwards!

My last round last season I lost 15 balls, I had to resort to playing the Pinnacle Golds I was fishing out of the streams. It was at a course that is very tight and my swing was total garbage. I should have known I was in trouble when I saw the hat that they sell in the proshop that says 'It takes a lot of balls to play Rainbow Springs'. Thankfully, the DNR took over the land and it is no longer a course.

I played Thunderhawk here in Illinois last year in the fall during a VERY windy day where I couldn't get my swing settled with my driver...somehow I lost a full dozen brand new ProV1X balls with my father-in-law's name on them...that was a terrible round of golf.

So far, I think I lost 14-18 balls after 4 rounds.

I have a good reason why. It has been raining a lot of the past 2 months here in the midwest. Course becomes supersoft and every tee shot- the ball plunges into the fairway, making it hard to find the ball and you don't have enough time to look for it when people behind you are waiting on you.

But I don't care bc I am using up a collection of crappy balls and saving the good ones for later.

I've lost 12 on more than one occasion.
Gave away 11 on Saturday on a very narrow and windy mountain course. But when I am out there looking for it, I find other balls out there.

Checked, and my AVERAGE is 6 ob's a round. That sucks. That's why I got the K15 just before the weekend....and looks like that club alone is going to get me down a handful of points a round.
