Dont wear them but it sounds like a good excuse to buy some with the winter coming

Its a must have in Seattle during the winter time.

Does anyone know of any other similar shirts, same material, but that are cheaper than Under Armour?

I know Nike and Reebok have their versions of the compression, moisture wicking shirts.

This is a brand called Players Edge, for 19.99.

Im looking to pick some up for the winter golf season.

Anyone know of other brands?

You may find the shirts with similar technology but you will never find the quality of Under Armour. UA's products are damn near indestructable.

I think it's time to buy some of these tops for the winter.

Can anyone help with sizing, I know that you are supposed to go with your normal clothes size, but I'm a large in some stuff, medium in others (41" chest 34" waist). I have a couple of large Nike Compression tops which seem to fit OK, so I'm sort of leaning that way, but would like an opinion from someone who actually owns one.

These sort of tops are ideal for the winter months, especially when the wind is strong.

I wear one made by Gore. I bought one to play football (soccer) in and it was so light/flexible/breathable that I bought a couple for golf. It means that unless it's absolutely freezing I can still wear a short sleeve shirt to play in and i'm still warm.

I don't know if they have their own website but I got them from www.prodirect.com. They specialise in football equipment but search for undergarments and you'll find them. They also sell Nike, Adidas and Under Armour so you can compare.

As far as sizing goes i'd recommend going a size down. They're meant to be fairly tight and it doesn't matter if you've got a bit of a belly because you've got something over the top.

I always wear base layers in winter, since I pretty much play unless there's snow on the ground. I've played in 30 degree weather, no problem. It's usually this:

Long sleeve thin Under Armour shirt

Oversize polo shirt

sleeveless wind shirt

As long as I wear a hat and gloves, it keeps me warm enough 'cause I always walk in the fall/winter.

I noticed Robert Karlsson was wearing some Canterbury ones this week in the World Matchplay.
