Our local stein mart has these on sale for buy one/ get one half off. Grabbed 2 doz for $36 and change. Really like this ball at that price. The distance is very nice and control is reasonable for a $20 per doz ball. Very safe expeditire. I recommend this ball for the +8 to +20 player.

    Pros

Low spin characteristics allow for straighter tee shots

    Durable

Distance comparable to Tour type golf balls

Inexpensive since they can be found on sale

Great for chip & roll type shots

Enough spin/control for full short iron shots and 3/4 wedges for all but the hardest green surfaces

    Cons

Not enough spin for green side shots with very little landing area and need the ball to stop quickly

You either love it or not. Very soft feel can appeal to people who suffers from joint issues (less vibration transmitted through the clubs), who have experience playing with Balata golf balls, need a softer ball to compress more easily, or just want to try something different.

As a low handicapper, I liked this golf ball.

The older I get, I realize brand loyalty is becoming more difficult when factoring ball fittings. It reminded me of the Balata ball era. The ball is soft but doesn't feel like total mush, like some of the other low compression golf balls. There is still a "snap" to it when you strike the ball. I have compared it directly, on course, to most Tour type balls and it fared well. Driver distance was comparable with better side spin control. Iron shots tend to drop and stop rather than spin back - if that is what you prefer for distance control. Only issue I have with this ball was the lack of "high spin" for drop and stop power for greenside shots.

If I could design a golf ball, it would feel like this ball, but with more spin around the greens.
