a review and a few thank yous

-First off I would love to thank golfwrx.com for being the #1 site golf website on the www. As you see under my avatar, this is my homepage and I am on here for several hours a day reading and rereading forums. Lucky for me (and all of you) this site is very well run(thanks easyy and gxgolfer + all marshals etc), and has wonderful sponsors (thanks zmangolf).
-A few weeks back there was the PGA contest (thanks demolitionman) and I happend to come in second. This was the first time I had really won anything in any sort of a contest, and I am totally stoked over my prize. In the mail a week and a few days later, a new putter showed up on my front step, a Byron 365 X Proto. This putter is a beauty and has treated me very well. It measure 33.5 inches, and has a 365 gram head.
-I have only had the oppertunity to play with it on the course for nine holes, and I ended up shooting a 37 on a par 36, which only included 14 putts, a very good number for me (5 handicap and not the best putter). This club has for sure gained the postion of gamer, replacing my White Hot 2 Ball that had been in the bag for over 4 years. It has completey different characteristics from my 2 Ball, but I actually really like the changes. I love how it is not face balanced, which fits my inside to inside stroke better. The cosmetic appearances of not being too "out there" and the stamps are awesome. I also love how much more responsive this club is. It has much more of a "click" at impact, and the sound slot improves feel.
-I went to my course today strictly to putt because this club is so much fun to use! I can't wait until I have a tournament so I can get a few important rounds under its belt. I think I'll go stroke a few putts in my room now.....
-Sorry for all the pictures, I went a little crazy with all of them but I guess that's just because I love the putter!

Ben,

That putter looks highly customized. Stainless, site dot, 4 inch slot. Did you request all those features? I really think the headcover is cool as well. Putting is all about confidence and going from a 2-ball back to an anser with such great results is astounding. Congrats to you and many thanks to Byron and Zman for going the extra mile and supplying such a valuable prize!

welcome to the club.

I just tested/compared my 365 proto to the new mizuno c series and cameron circa 62 line for about half an hour rolling each putter with various balls. the 365 is still the best. the sounds slot is such an incredible addition for feedback. I really get a feel for where i hit the ball on the face and the additional 30 grams is pure pro path.
