Mizuno MP-R12

What do you think?

I like the MIzuno Black Ox Raw and/or MP-R series of wedges better....

I have not hit these yet, however a 56/10 and a 52/7 are on their way to me.

Stock shaft is DG Spinner so I'm looking forward to hitting these at least once before the snow flies!

Bought a set of these today - super good looking at address.

Not sure these babies have ANY spin. I switched to a ProV1 from a ProV1X to gain a little spin.

Possibly the most beautiful wedge I have ever seen. I could not get one to check on a chip to save my life (or unfortunately...par)

I have the T11 sandwedge in 54° ....... and I hate the thing. Don't get any bite on chip shots (has the spinner shaft too).

I love the look of these new ones, but it sounds like they have no bote either. Bummer......

Not to take this off topic, but I've found the MP T-11's to have fantastic spin...especially on short little pitches around the green. Tested with Penta's, Srixon Z-Star XV's and ProV1X's.

Assuming the MP R-12's would have similar spin/performance?

I have the 52 degree MP-R12 w/Spinner Shaft and I love it. Its a great club gives nice launch and good spin, not sure why other reviewers are having problems with it. I do put a lot of spin on wedge shots though and cant play ProV1 or x due to excess spin.

I just picked these up. I had a short game lesson with them in the 60 to 70 yard range. With a 60* half swing they stopped on a dime, Maybe 6 inches from ball mark. With the 54* I had a little roll out, some actually spun back. I went went with a 52 and 58*

My wedges are 46 52 58....Half shots here I come...

I had my Titleist SM 60 next to the Mizuno MP R-12 on the practice range for over an hour. I hit every conceivable shot I could come up with. Some responses were neck and neck; but when it came down to low trajectory shots that I wanted to skip once and stop the Mizuno won out. When I executed shots that I wanted a High flop drop and stop the Mizuno won out. Feel is a specialty with Mizuno irons and they carry that into they're wedges.

I know I'm a little late to the party but... Damn! Mizuno makes a fine wedge! R12's are awesome... Such soft feel, I don't know why I haven't tried them before. Came from a vokey wedge set and you know they make great clubs. Straight sold them to get the mizunos. If you don't know, better ask somebody...

The r12s are great. One of the best looking clearly.
Very different grinds for sure over the previous R models and they got rid of black nickle. Wtf?
They work great but are not as versatile as Rs. They spin fine, but the shaft is not my thing.
I use the 60* now.
