Was in the local golfsmith today and they had the 15 count box for $11. And online for $10.

I personally think its one of the more underrated balls on the market.

It will not perform like a prov1, but most likely, if you are looking into this ball, you dont have the game for a prov1.

Definitely a really good ball.

Thanks for the replies. I'm around a 8 to 10 handicap so I might could benefit some from a mid-tier ball. However, I'm very "cheap" and am always on the lookout for a ball that performs above its price point.

Played this ball when I was at around 20+ and was just looking for a cheap ball that I could stand losing. Turns out its a pretty awesome ball. Still buy a dozen once in a while when I'm playing at a course with a bunch of junk that I can lose it in. Doesnt spin as much as the pro vs but its not like its a rock or anything.

There is very little difference in performance between 2-piece surlyn balls. My recommendation would be to move up to a 3-piece of which there are many cheap options (seller on eBay has brand new Gamer V2 for $10/dozen shipped)

That's a wildly inaccurate statement. Is it necessary to spend $45 on a dozen balls these days? Hell no. As a +1 handicap, I score equally as well with a HX Diablo Tour, Top Flight Gamer or Noodle as I do with a ProV, B330 or Penta. Don't get caught up in the mental game of "absolutely needing to play a premium ball." Your wallet will thank you later.

Noodle+ are all I play and have been doing this for the past couple of years. It is pretty common to be able to find 2 boxes of 12 for $25. Don't confuse them with the regular Noodles which are often sold in 15 ball packs. Before settling on this ball, I tried a lot of other balls with emphasis on 3 piece and 4 piece balls. I found that the Noodle+ has the best distance off the driver, which for me is very important because my drives only go about 240 yards total distance. This distance off the driver was validated by a golf digest test article that was run year before last, I think. They have minimal green side spin but are soft enough to provide good feel. This combination of distance and feel usually cannot be found in a lower priced ball. Once you get used to playing a drop and roll type game on the greens, you can score just as well with this ball as with a premium 4 piece ball, imho. Other advantages are that you don't worry if you lose one, and it is nice to be in a group where everyone is not playing the same type ball.

IMO, the Noodle + is an excellent winter / off-season ball. I like a softer ball for winter golf, and the Noodle+ is a good choice.

Had my best score of the season by far using a Noodle+. Was actually three under par for 8 holes before I realised what I was doing. Finished with 74.

I tried experimenting with this ball and had mixed results. A few of them in the dozen flew strangely through the air....new...the first time I hit them. It was almost the same as an old range ball that is out of round. I hit some shots that day....I have never seen a golf ball go straight out 200 yards and then literally make a left turn. I generally fade the ball off the tee! I would pass on them again...look for ebay deal on a bit better quality IMO. I got last year model srixon tour ball with coupon at Dick's for $17 a dozen.

I think you get what you pay for in top of the line balls...I just wait for the deals and stock up. A good time to buy is coming up, when new box designs claiming new distance hit the shelves. Good luck!

I guess I'm in the minority, but I stongly dislike the Noodle. I bought some 1 or 2 years ago to use as my fall/cold weather balls, but ended up giving almost all of them away to my buddy. I didn't care for the ball flight, distance, or the feel off the putter.

There are better options out there for cheap balls, #1 of which (IMO) is the Top Flite gamer V2. I've been playing these the last few weeks and have been very impressed. At first I bought a dozen at Golfsmith just to try, but they're so good, I bought another 2 dozen on the ebay deal (mentioned in the deal/nodeal section) at $10/dozen shipped. Its 3 pc, its long, doesn't balloon, and feels great off the putter. Hardest thing to get over is playing a Top Flite ball.

I have no stock in this company, but I have to question the post a few postings above that basically claims defective golf balls. That is something I have never seen before, in any brand. Perhaps a defective swing, but likely not a defective ball .... at any rate, the best part about playing them is on the first tee when everyone states what ball they are playing ... 'prov1, prov1, prov1, "I play a premium ball, the noodle+". That always gets either a laugh or a stare, depending on how well people know my sense of humor.

Funny you should mention the Gamer V2. I stumbled onto the $10/dozen deal last night on ebay and ordered two dozen. That's one heck of a deal. I have been playing the D2 Feel quite a bit over the past year because of a blow out new years deal I got at Dick's ($2.50 for 15 balls...bought 12 boxes) so having "Top Flite" on the ball doesn't bother me at all.

Yeah, the gamers are the real deal and at $10 a dozen to my front door, they've got to be the best value. The last couple weeks I've used them to card some new personal bests in tough winds. Now I'm starting to wonder when/if I'll be able to go back to pro-v's next summer!

I've got to give credit to the members on here for recommending them (and pointing out the ebay deal). Without this site I'd probably never have tried them.
