The only ones I hadn't tried were Big Sky IPA & Whitehawk. I really enjoyed the Big Sky, full flavor and aroma. Whitehawk was a little to light for me. .

I picked up some Shorts Nicie Spicie and Kolsch 45 this weekend. I liked both of them, especially in the hot weather we had here. Good summer beers.

I used to think only drinking Budweiser was cool...now I drink for taste/quality not quantity and my how things have changed....

    - 3 Floyds - everything I've had from them is top notch...but Alpha King and Gumball Head are my favorites, Dark Lord is their best but its only available 1 day a year in a Willy Wonka like Golden Ticket deal and you have to buy it at their brewery in Munster, IN

    - Breckenridge Brewing - Avalanche Ale is good, but Vanilla Porter is one of my favorites for any craft beer....its best on tap, it loses a lot of its vanilla finish when consumed from the bottle.

    - Rogue - Dead Guy Ale and Hazelnut Porter are both awesome, but everyone needs to try the VooDoo Bacon Maple Ale...its expensive ($13/bottle off their website) but its delicious and quite an experience. It's extremely sweet but the salty smoky hints from the bacon flavor cleanse the sweetness off the palate, then you realize you're drinking a beer which really throws you through a loop. I highly recommend it, just to tell people you've had Bacon Maple beer!

I'm going to pick up that Rogue VooDoo Bacon Maple this week. I saw it stacked at Total Wine last week. Its cool that they collaborated with VooDoo Donuts.

I browse letspour but havent placed an order. Aside from pnw beers, I can get majority of them for a few bucks cheaper.

I don't really drink "for the season"... I just drink whatever I see and whatever sounds good. Obviously I'm not downing a 12% stout after cutting the grass in the middle of the afternoon.. but you know..

Just leaving Bend, I can't remember the last time I've drank so much beer over the course of 3 days haha. By far, my favorite brewery was boneyard, loved their imperial ipa.

I had FatHeads Head Hunter IPA for the first time, wow is it good. I think I could be a happy man drinking it and Heady Topper for the rest of my life. I can't wait to try their Sunshine Daydream.

Great Divide...great memories! Was there last year and told them I was a home brewer. Tey gave me and a couple of buddies the full inside tour. Very knowledgeable.

Of you like samplers, hit up Avery sometime. Their beers run the gamut.

We went to strange brewery and renegade brewery as well, renegade had some fantastic stuff but they need a reality check on the growler prices.

We'll have to check out Avery next visit, headed back to new Mexico and marble brewery, then back home to AZ.

Also, anyone in the Denver area, check out Green Russell in downtown Denver, great speakeasy style bar with fantastic drinks. One of my favorite bars I've ever been to.

If you are in that area, you have to check out Oskar Blues (Longmont), Avery (Boulder), Odell (Ft Collins), and New Belgium (also in Ft Collins). I think all four are better than Left Hand (and I like Left Hand). Great area for craft beer.

Site looks pretty cool. A few things I can't find in the store anymore which is nice. I do like the selection of stouts though. Good find, thanks for sharing!

Was able to find Firestone Walker Indian IPA in Jersey finally. Haven't been able to find any Firestone for a while. Also finally found Stone's edition of Saison de Buff collaboration with Victory & Dogfish Head.

I skipped over the Saison du Buff's. They did sound fun though if you could get a vertical going of the each variation.

I just picked up a few new things the other week:

    Bruery White Oak bourbon wheatwine

Coney Island Bourbon Barrel Human Blockhead

Clown Shoes Flight of the Pimp

    Clown Shoes Angry Beast

    Abita Satsuma Wit

Anderson Valley Barney Flats Oat Stout

Red Brick 17th- Bourbon Barrel Double Brown Ale

    Green Flash Linchpin White IPA

    Terrapin 12' Reunion

    Terrapin Samurai Krunkles

Probably a few others I forgot, but I think thats most.

Picked some old favorites like Stones' RIS and whatnot to enjoy later and add to the cellar.

The best of the bunch, so happened to be my local Red Brick 17th. It's a delicious brown ale, that acts like a blank canvas for the aging on the oak bourbon barrels. It's so balanced, I'm just blown away. Easy drinker at 8.5% too!

I finally made it to Founders Brewery this past weekend and it was as good as advertised. They were already one of my favorite breweries based on their bottled beers alone and with the pub only offerings it put them over the top. They had quite a few pub only beers with my favorite being the Brewers Guild Ipa. If the beer wasn't enough the food there was really good too. I highly recommend a visit there if your ever near the Grand Rapids area.

I like Founders stuff too.. Most of it anyways. I think I'm going to be up that way for work travel soon enough, might try to stop in for a beer or 5.

So...thanks to friends in high places, I was able to procure a case of Russian River Salvation. Brewed and bottle once a year in limited supply, this is a semi stout, meaty ale. I had limited knowledge of it and had my first one last night. Taste was fantastic...coffee, malty, while still maintaing characters of a smooth ale.

Enjoyed a second one today while brewing my first batch. We will see how my first go around ends up. Using cascade hops to make a West Coast style Pale Ale.
