Anyone been there?

I think the title speaks for itself. Has anyone ever been up to Treetops in Gaylord, MI? I'm planning on going on my first golf vacation with my brother and two guys I work with. I don't want to break the bank or anything since I have to pay for my brother as well, and prices seem reasonable. $700 for 4 nights stay, 4 rounds of golf, 4 breakfasts and dinner. Any feedback would be great before I pull the trigger.

I've never had the chance to play there but have heard it was a great place to play :drinks:

Played there a couple of years ago. The courses were very entertaining as far as the golf goes. Lots of elevation changes. It made me change the way I did my preshot routine coming from southern MI where most places are fairly flat. We went and got 4 rounds, 2 breakfasts and two nights for $444 a person. All in all, it was a very good time there, and the golf was great.

Thanks guys. It seems as if we will go there next year. We live in Columbus, OH so the drive isn't too bad.

raehtz10: Thanks for your pricing. I guess it is reasonable to add another $250 for another 2 nights, and 4 meals. I'm looking forward to going there, and then slowly expanding the golf vacations to more 'famous' places.

You should have a great time. I really enjoyed the Signature course...of course it is easy to enjoy it when you shoot 78. (my handicap at the time was a 9)

Masterpeice, Fazio, Signature all are very entertaining courses/ The PAr 3 course is a huge rip off IMO. Accomodations and service first rate

I played The Fazio Premiere and the Threetops Par 3 course 5 years ago. Course was in excellent condition and Threetops was a blast, especially knowing who has played there. If you're used to elevation changes, the Premiere is pretty easy. While there are numerous bunkers, the FWs are quite wide.

Another place to go if you looking to save a couple bucks. You can play at Boyne and you get to play at all of the the Boyne facilities, including Boyne Mountain, hightlands, crooked stick and Bay Harbor. This package includes as much as much golf as you want, lodging, and breakfast buffet each morning for around $135 a night
