I've been testing the Japan SQ Machspeed Forged and have been pretty amazed how easy they are to hit yet trajectory was so easy to control. It's a tad chunky from the top for my eye but the workability makes you forget that pretty quick. I think the VRS forged will be a great set that you must try even if the name Nike puts you off. ;)

Dumb move catagorizing it 12-16 handicap bracket, then talking about how Tiger loves it, and how a couple LPGA ladies are gaming it. (I understand it's a somewhat informal interview but how many PGA guys have we seen with G15's?)

Should have just rolled with the how it can cater to any player.

Every year Nike grows on me a little more, they just need to dial in the fw's and hy's imo. (Or re badge the Sq/SQ2)

Thanks for the interview!

It is unfortunate that I have been turned off to nike golf clubs. I started golfing 3 years ago and went and bought all Nike Equipment. Machspeed Driver, Irons, Hybrids, SV Tour Wedges, Dymo 3 wood. While they were a good starter set, the both the driver and the hybrid broke at the hosel. The Driver Broke 4 times, after the final time I said I wanted something different, Nike said no so I got rid off it all and refuse to go back.

Nike said no? Or the retailer that you purchased the clubs from?

Nike. The Retailer was also no help. I will never buy other golf club from Dicks Sporting Goods again. I spend alot of money there buying a new set and they treated me like I was an idiot when the Shaft broke.

These look good for gi clubs, agree that there aren't too many forged one's out there. My little cousin is quickly improving and I think these would appeal to him.

My first set of clubs were all Nike's. Worked in a golfstore so got them at a good deal. Really impressed with the build quality and especially liked the sq2 3 wood. Unfortunately I grew out if the uniflex shafts in the irons far too quick.

I had a chance to hit these the other day and they are very solid irons. I play the pro combos and couldn't be happier. That being said I really have to question the pricing for this set. The gi forged market has some great clubs already like the mx300, jpx800 pro and bridgestone j38-40 dpc. Head to head I really don't see someone spending the extra money. They are solid clubs though.

I had tw blades and made the switch to these . There coming in the mail tommorow and then there getting dropped at my local clubbuilders studio so they can speced out right .. But may stop at a range first

I hit these today in a store simulator... forget the looney numbers I was putting up (PR's to be sure), but the feel was amazing for a forged... different, but sweet-amazing is how I would describe it. last 3 years (full FL seasons), I've played mp-53's, jpx-800 pro's, honma tm202's, and taylor made r-7 pro's... and they all fall short IMO. Have to try them, that's all I can recommend... I have to spend a sweet portion of my tax refund...

I think these should be a big hit - there's really not a huge selection among forgiving forged irons.

Well I think the CB3's and the Amps came out after I posted that. And to me many on your list fall more in the lower HC category, but no big deal in any case. I was thinking of forged offerings for the 10-18 HC, and I'd put the VrS, CB3's, ZStar and Amp in that category.

Depends on whose game the GI irons are improving I suppose!

i went to 2 demo days on which most all companies were there..........i hit just about every game improvement iron out there......and only 1 of them made me say WOW!!! for me it was these nike vrs forged.......and i didn't even want to hit them......never have liked nike irons......but i borrowed a couple of tee's off the nike guy......and he said......sure.....if you hit this iron!!! i knew nothing of this iron......i took the 7 iron......and it was beautiful.......i was stunned......a little bit thick top line......but still a work of art

i set up and whack!!!!!!!! wow was the first thing i said........about 160 and nice and high and straight........lol not as soft as my old miz mp 32's.......but great feel and easy to hit.......really!!! i went to try RBZ's and never looked at them again..........i have been playing r7 tp 's for 4 yrs now.......great iron......but these nikes will be in my bag soon

after hitting all the new equipment......the only irons that came close.......in my opinion......were the adams cb3 forged......real close.......but i like the slightly larger head of the nike......i'm getting old and need help.......i still creep into the 70's on good days and want to stay that way!!!!!

One Demoday and I was hooked! They just felt right.
Went with the Stiff Stock Shaft, because for me the Nike Regular Shaft are a bit floppy.

My 3- Aw Set arrived yesterday, sadly the weather here in Germany isn't any good at the moment. So they just sit in my bag and wait to be hit.

First thing I will probably change is switching the "slick" Nike Grips for red Golf Pride VDRs.

Will post more once I put thm in play.
