Oahu trip need advice - Sorry this has been done to death

My wife and I are going to Oahu for 5 days staying at Waikiki beach for our 10 year anniversary (which was 3 years ago). We haven't been on vacation, just the 2 of us for over 10 years (have 7 year old triplets and a 3 year old)!! We are able to go because she has a conference. We will be there March 12-16. I will have at least 2 free days to play while she is attending her conference. Wednesday and Thursday (14th and 15th). I will be bringing my sticks. I already plan on playing Turtle Bay (both courses) on the 14th because it's only $150 for both (replay round is only $35!).

I've read tons of posts, visited all the websites but love hearing from you guys who have played all of these courses. My thought was to play Ko'olau on Thursday because it looks like through golfnow I can play for $47. But even though it's a "must play" especially for that price, I'm not sure I want to hack it around in the mud. So I'm looking for any other suggestions. I am renting a car. I could possibly play on Tuesday if the course is close to Waikiki beach because I'll probably send my wife to the spa that day.

ANY thoughts or advice would be incredibly appreciated!!

I'm a 10 handicap, probably playing like a 12 since I'm just starting my season and figure I'll tear it up (not in a good way) in Hawaii but I'm amped to play out there!!!!
