Best year for golf balls

Many manufactures fibally got it right.

I've never been a fan of the titleist balls. Pro V spin is too much and never could get a feel for X. I love trying new offerings each year and I have to say I have not seen a more impressive lineup and rebranding of products than this year. The Hex Chrome and Tp3 are damn solid balls. I particularly like thr chrome. Bridgestone finally nailed it with the b330. That ball is a gamer folks. The improvements to the Penta tp5 and hex black are solid as well....I still enjoy thr srixon XV as well.

I think its safe to say that they collectively have all stepped up their game with their ball line. Its no longer ProV and everything else.

It's probably worth mentioning that the new Titleist balls are very good as well. Lots of solid options.

There are so many great offerings out there that I have not purchased a Pro V1 in nearly 2 years. That and the fact that so many people play the Pro V1 I can walk through the woods and collect a dozen w/o a problem. I play a better ball (for me) and am happy I made the switch to the Z-Star. I agree with your post completely there are so many great balls that if you are not looking to better your game through ball selection you may be missing out.
