NXT Tour vs TP3

I searched the first three pages and couldn't find one... So

TP3 VS NXT Tour

or something else?

I've been playing the NXT Tour for 2 years now and really like it. However, I've heard great things about the TP3... and there is a place up the street from me selling them right now for 20 bucks a BOX!!! Might have to go stock up

What are you looking for out of your ball? I would pick the TP3 based on the urethane cover alone. I would say it will perform similarly to the NXT Tour everywhere except the green where it will eat it for lunch. If you can get the TP3 or $20, I say go for it!

You made me hungry (mmm, lunch), but didn't get which one you thought was better on the greens.

I'm looking for something similar to the NXT, but better.
One the weekend or when I'm playing more serious I'll play a PROV1 and these feel amazing after playing the nxt tour. I try to play at least 3 times a week and then on the weekends. So at 47 a box the provi isn't really an option.

Mostly the 20 dollar price tag really caught my eye

I really like the TP3 because of the spin around the green. If you don't mind me asking, where did you find them for $20/dozen. I would love to stack up!!

The NXT Tour is 3-piece (dual core, no mantle) surlyn covered ball and the TP3 is a traditional 3-piece (single core and mantle) urethane covered ball so they are not really comparable.

If you really like the Pro V1 that much, don't settle for the NXT Tour or any other non urethane ball. My first recommendation if you like the Pro V1 is to buy the Practice Pro V1. Identical to the actual Pro V1 only with a "Practice" stamp on the side (essentially the same as a logo ball). They are brand new, legal for play, and only $29.99 / dozen.

The TP3 or Callaway Tour Chrome are also cheaper 3-piece urethane alternatives.

Turns out I lied to everyone!!

Well not really.

I went back to the store, which is ski and golf by the way. Was all set to load up on the tp3 and saw that they bumped the price to 25, however right next to them was the penta... 30 bucks! I walked out with 4 boxes. Went and played a round, I'm in love! I might go back for another 4 boxes tomorrow
