Alleve or Motrin. And something for Heartburn, a roll of tums or rolaids perhaps. Bandaids and neosporin are in my bag too.


Edit, just saw you had Ibrofuen on your list....but the heartburn medicne still is a reccomendation.

"After bite" in case of a bug sting/bite and over the counter allergy meds and maybe some anti diarrhea tablets.

Cash.......to buy anything you forgot. They have a big WalMart at Osage Beach

Threw some Benadryl in the bag along with some sunscreen, tums and unscented off. Good suggestions guys.

Alcohol and bandaids. Alcohol, because no golf trip can legally exist without it. Bandaids, because you do stupid s*** when you are drunk.

If you're a drinker and the course allows it take a small cooler with you stocked with some beers.

Camera or cell phone, first aid kit. I'd probably need more balls depending on the courses.

whatever it is you may use to clean your clubs between rounds. my golf buddies never clean their clubs now matter how bad i break their balls.

As long as you have money, you can buy anything you forget when you get there.

You've got some pretty comprehensive suggestions, but 108 holes is enough to chap anyone's tail. Take some 1% hydrocortisone cream...just in case. I always take along a small journal to write down notes in about the round. Sometimes after the trip the details aren't as easy to recall.

I spent a good chunk of my first round with my uncle in a disgusting outdoor restroom, he cooked me a ncie rare steak when I was staying with him, it was great going in.. Coming out was another story.

Whisky. Also, don't go in any long grass at Kinderhook, I got chiggers doing that looking for one of my balls. I never found the ball, but the chiggers had no problem finding mine. Trust me, you don't want to go down that road.

Snake bite kit, designated driver, your attorney's after hours contact number. Ace elastice bandage - for betting, (wear it on day one to negotiate extra strokes)

Liquid skin just in case you cut yourself.

Back-up driver and back-up putter?

Half the stuff and twice the money has always been good advice for me.

A couple extra hats as I always sweat them out pretty bad. Double the ibuprofen unless you don't drink. Then half that as well.

Lucky ball marker, pitch mark repairer, drinks (cheaper than buying on-course), bandaids (in case you have a habit of retrieving balls from *****ly bushes), lip balm, sun glasses, I didn't actually see 'golf bag' on the list (could be handy). Pencils, assorted tees, glamourous caddy, side-bet money. Hip flask to drown sorrows/celebrate. Don't forget to make sure your insurance is up to date.

Seriously, are you going camping or going to play golf? LOL. Remember, get large and loud if you encounter a bear. Oh, wait... golf trip. Sorry. Have fun!

Bring a canteen or refillable durable water bottle. That way you won't have to buy waters on the course when you are dehydrated and severely hungover, which I hope you will be since it's a golf trip.

I would forget ALL of that stuff, but really need the hydrocortizone later.

It may sound weird, but I always carry an extra shoelace......I've broke one during a great round and it was no fun.

My essentials:

Rain suit
Sunblock
Hand lotion ( preferrably Gold Bond or Corn Husker's)
Base layers
Aleve
Socks!

WTF. I thought you were going for 108 holes not 1008 holes. For 6 riounds I would never bring an extra driver or putter, 3 pairs of shoes, 3 extra towels, or an extra grip. 1 towel and 2 pairs of shoes are enough.

As others have said, bring a camera, sunblock and lip balm. I alwsys bring two hats. Most of all bring your good spirit so you have a good time no matter what the weather is or how you play. The point of a golf trip is to have fun, enjoy the surroundings and the people you are playing with.
