Autumn leaves make the yellow ball difficult to find. Otherwise, it's much more traceable than the white for me.

I find a yellow ball to be easier to track through the air in any conditions. However, I find that they are a nightmare to find when hit in to the rough in the summer months. I play links golf, and the rough invariably turns straw coloured as soon as it stops raining.

I agree with both of the above posts. In most conditions, I find the yellow easier to see. The exceptions being in the fall with leaf situations, and courses with dandelions. Both can make it very hard to find a ball in the rough.

I play a lot of golf after work, and towards dusk the Yellow can be a big help. The Srixon optic or tour yellow almost seems to "glow" in those conditions. There are a few times right before dark, when we won't be able to find my buddy's ball, but mine will standout easily.

Played one sunday for the first time. (I found it) and i was pleasently surprised as the rough was quite deep on this course and finding the ball seemed much easier than it would have been were it white. It was a trispeed tour so the first pitch I hit that I think [i]gained [/i]speed upon green contact was the last shot I hit with it. But, I would like to try the Z-star yellow for sure.

If the course is mostly a lush green color, then yes it is easier to find. Also, a nice, clear blue sky type day, I don't notice a difference between the white or the yellow when tracking it, however if it is overcast/cloudy, then the yellow stands out more. Problems with the yellow are amongst leaves in the fall or middle of the summer when things start to dry out a bit and yellow.

Easier to see in less light (i.e. dusk). Other than that, I've not found them to stand out anymore than a white ball honestly.

I've been gaming yellow balls exclusively since last Fall. I've played them in all conditions except blazing summer months, and I'm hooked.

I tried them because my eyesight has gone bad and the colour makes it easier to track, and I found it makes it easier to find them in the rough, or in the first few yards of underbrush (on those VERY rare occasions where the wind sweeps my ball there after an unlucky bounce...).

One thing I found that makes it a bit harder to spot: dandelions. But the enhanced tracking and the fact that I'm so far the only one playing a yellow ball make up for that tenfold.

I actually play the orange ones. While I can't swear it is all that much easier to track, I don't waste time tracking down a white golf ball that is near where I hit mine only to find that it is not. For me, this by itself is well worth playing a colored ball.

Tracked one right into a pond last week. Not visible in the murky red waters of Oklahoma.

Without question it's easier to see a yellow ball in the air when it's overcast. Most other conditions it's a wash; as others have stated it's actually harder to find in grass that is lighter green, brownish, and when it's fall or there are leaves on the ground.

i live in sunny cali and i can see the whites so much better, especially in the rough( i'm not there that often, just visiting)

Does anyone think they play better with a colored ball? I seem to have better rounds with them.

It might just be me (and maybe completely mental) but sometimes I feel like color helps me focus on putting the center of the club face on the ball... And I feel like like can almost see the roll and actual ball rotations better when putting...

Full disclosure, my eyes are not what they used to be and on occasion I have trouble seeing things from a distance.

Funny, I played with a buddy Monday who just bought a dz E6 yellows. He was losing them left right and center and finally said screw it, and gave me one. Kept it in the cart until deciding to hit it on hole 15. Proceeded to par the last 4 holes and I hit my 2 longest drives of the day by far.

Yes. Easier to see. And if you are the only one in your group who is playing yellow, easy to see which ball is yours.

I have terrible vision and I found that yellow definitely helps, especially on overcast days. Now I just bought a pair of Oakley Flack Jackets with G30 lenses and I can see the white very well even when it's overcast.

I can see a yellow ball much better than white, unfortunately I have approx. 7 dozen white balls and only 8 yellow balls so it will be white for me most days on the course.
