R11S Screws breaking in weight ports

Just a heads up when tightening weights, you may not want to tighten until the torque wrench clicks. My 1 gr weight screw broke off in the head, and I know of another that did the same thing. From now on I'm just going to snug them up and check them.

Yep. Gotta be the White & black one.....
I've been setting up T/M weights for years. Never once have I seen one break.

R11S 8* square; Stock stiff

Back before the shafts were adjustable, the R7 series had a gray wrench that had a much lower torque rate and it was used just for weights. When the shafts became adjustable, TM starting using a wrench with a much higher torque rating than the older one. Well, instead of giving you two different wrenches (one for shaft, one for weights), they only gave you the higher torque wrench for both. The new wrenches are too high torque for weight screws and I've see the 1 and 2 gram weights break quite a bit because of this.

I hope you are addressing these issues to T/M and not just in this thread. Those affected clubs are all under warranty. Probably even if you don't have the bill of sale.

Very interesting...surprised there hasn't been as much uproar. I mean people went crazy when the first reports of the Titliest 910 screw began stripping the threading for the shafts.

Yes, TM was real good about. Pretty much no questions asked replacement.
