What's in the bag? Griffin Flesch and Owen Quinn

After the Masters and the US Open, the Travelers is my favorite tournament, but I still call it the GHO. I went to the GHO every year from 1992-2003. From 1992-1998 or 1999, I went Thurs-Sunday, and the other few years I would just go 2 days during the tournament. We had badges from where my Dad works, and free parking. I got to see many of the great players of those years on tour. Greg Norman, Nick Price, Corey Pavin, John Daly, Vijay, Phil Mickelson, Azinger, etc, etc, etc. It was also good to see the journeymen guys come through each and every year as well.

We saw Scott Simpson hole out on the 18th hole from about 175-185 out. Two hops, a couple skips, and trickled into the hole on its last revelution. We also got to see Olin Browne win in walk off fashion with a chip in birdie on the 72nd hole. And, we got to see Phil win two in a row. We also got to see Bruce Fleisher hole out for eagle on the 6th hole from about 80 yards out. Bounced passed the hole about 20 to 25 feets and spun back and trickled in. Pretty sweet.

I think the funniest thing I remember was following Brian Henniger's group one year. We were standing down the 7th fairway, and watched his group tee off. We then walked over to get some ice-cream at the consession stands. We're standing there for a couple minutes, and we hear this guy say, "Two ice-cream sandwiches please." We turn and its Brian Henniger. One of my friends says, "Dude, didn't you just hit your tee shot." Brian says, "Yeah, my caddy and I wanted ice-cream and we didn't want to wait another 3 hours." We all were like, "Well, ok then, play well." We laughed about it the rest of the afternoon, it was pretty funny. Later that day, we had to go get his autograph just because of that situation. Never heard of the dude before hand, but followed him every year that he came back.

Robert Karlsson back to an all Titleist bag???? Interesting.

More and more i20 irons popping up.

Looked as if Bud Cauley(sp) had a 1st gen spin milled wedge in the bag. Doubtful because of the non conforming grooves, but I hadn't seen those exact stampings in those spots since the 1st gen of spin milled wedges.

No idea. It was black tonight "On the range".

It looks to me like Poults went to a RIP in his ZL Encore White, can anybody confirm that? I would assume given his past driver shafts (F1, Speeder) it's a Beta 70x, but that's entirely a speculative effort on my part.

yes, more info please............watching his WITB on you tube the guy was never overly excited about his new sticks; kept mentioning he needed more testing but "this is good for now". always thought it was a huge change from his traditional setup with titleist.

Karlsson might be just hitting titleist irons, adams woods only perhaps.

He has been back using Titleist clubs for over a month now, exact same set-up that he had at the BMW PGA in May when I saw him.

I thought he tweeted a while back that he was working with a lightweight shaft, I assumed the Phenom, could be wrong though.

I saw a Karlsson commerical for Adams only last night. Is he still wearing the Adams hat?

even with the same specs as his old titleist irons the adams never performed the same. he switched about a month ago as the previous poster commented. switched from YES putter back to his old trusty scotty as well.
