Top 5 dream memberships if money were no object.

New here to Golf WRX so I apologize if this thread has been up before, but what would be your top 5 choices for membership at a private club if money was not an object (based on course alone)? Mine are as follows:

1. Shinnecock Hills.

2. Augusta.

3. Congressional (followed Tiger during the final round during his win at the AT&T National and was blown away by this course).

4. Cypress Point.

5. Medalist.

Unfortunately I have yet to play any of these and most likely never will but I have seen most of them in person and they are a sight to be seen. Ok, enough day dreaming.

One last thing... Open Championship. Who wins?

Trust me I understand that if I won the lottery that I still have a fat chance of being a member. I think the rest who posted understood. So sorry for not 'just saying' that originally.

Cypress Point, and I'd buy it so only my friends and I could play there. And other Golfwrx members in fair standing haha.

Switch National for Sand Hills and this is mine.

This list could definitely be interchangeable if I got access to any of them.

I'm a bit more simple.

1. Colonial
2. Shady Oaks
3. Preston Trails
4. The Golf Club at Crested Butte
5. Runaway Bay

I'd add a 2nd course in Cowtown, Preston Trails for the privacy, The Golf Club at Crested Butte so i could tee off before noon on summer vacations, and Runaway Bay so that I have a course near the new house I would build on my ranch.

In reality, I'd probably only join 4 of the 5 no matter how much money I had, leaving off Preston Trails. Might join Austin Golf Club or Austin Country Club to give me even more variety the 3-4 weekends a year I spend at Barton Creek.

Cypress is an awesome club in the respect that they allow unaccompanied guest play. Your friends would love you forever.

Really need more than Augusta, unless you only want to be able to play 6 months (or less) out of the year....since that's all they are open.

These are some really nice courses that I would be glad to play just once a year, let alone and membership. All these are really close to me also, the furthest is 11 miles. Lots of really private and exclusive golf here in Indian River County Florida. Any rich people wanna move down and be my golf friend?
