Space shuttle endeavor

Just wanted to share a very well done video of the shuttle and how intricate its slow journey through Los Angeles was last week. Enjoy!

I'm still pissed and have no idea why a place like Los Angeles got an actual Shuttle, and HOUSTON got a replica. Obviously politics got involved.

1) Smithsonian

2) Kennedy Space Center

3) Johnson Space Center


Those should have been top 3.

A lot of the people who actually contributed to the build were from the jet propulsion lab in Pasadena. The shuttle was also constructed in Palmdale . It's first flight landed at Edwards Air Force base in CA.

Space shuttle Discovery is at the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum in Virginia. Space shuttle Atlantis is at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida. The test shuttle Enterprise is at the Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum in New York.

As LAMD said, many people in Southern California contributed to the space shuttle. All were built in Palmdale. All were tested at Edwards AFB near Palmdale which is also where 53 of the shuttle missions landed. [left]More ever, the California Science Center in Los Angeles is one of the most visited museums in the US. [/left]

We deserve a shuttle just as much as Kennedy Space Center IMO. Houston is the home of NASA after all.

Yeah lots of politics. It is to bad Houston did not get one. I work at KSC and they are getting close to finishing the building that will house Atlantis. Pretty sad watching all these awesome machines leave but happy we get Atlantis. There is nothing like standing inches away from the shuttle when she sits on the Pad. Well other than ping inside.

You just have to realize who you're responding to..

I was showing no bias, just stated some facts and yes Houston should have one along with Los Angeles.
