I'm having my second date with Lagavulin 16 now.

How much do you guys normally pour? One shot worth?

I start light (1 shot-ish) and once I'm warmed up, the pours start to get longer. Needless to say, after 3 glasses, it's highway to the danger zone!

    Personally it's two fingers, neat.

Just go with what you want, I won't judge.... But Jesus will

I'm a light weight, I drink less and less as I get older. Last night I did one shot with 2 very small cubes. Freaking delicious!

Dude, that's fine Broseph . Find you're own middle. I've settled on Glenlivet 12 and Lagavulin. 16.

It's you're own middle..... Drink what you like.

Need some help on my next bottle. I want to try something from from Highland and I like the smokey flavor. Thinking of one of these.

Yeah I have drank it a few times now. Very good, a little bite at the end. I like the Lagavulin better because of the smoke/wood flavor. But I can drink either one anytime.

Lagavulin 16 is awesome. Special occasions only for me I'm afraid. The Glenlivet 12 is my staple drink

I can see why it's special occasion only, I think I am going to box it up and save it. Going to get another bottle now for a staple.

    How is the Oban 14?

I have had the Macallan 12 very nice smoky taste to it. The Oban is next on my list

Just picked up Grangestone 12 very nice inexpensive bottle surprisingly smooth. Great for casual consumption without feeling guilty on the price

I went to buy a bottle and the guy at the store talked me into Machrie Moor. Came home and read some reviews and man this stuff is hated by most. I'm going to go exchange it for something else.

    Either Highland Park or Ardbeg.

Scratch, here's what you are looking for: TALISKER. If unavailable, Oban is also a very good choice.

You can also never go wrong with highland park.

    Cheers!

I went with the Highland Park 15. Probably the smoothest Scotch that I have tried yet, also has a good mixture of sweet and smokey. Very good stuff...

I just shoveled parents house out. Solid half foot of ice snow over snow over solid ice. Uphill driveway, cobblestone walkway. Intermittently pouring

Chivas from who knows how old that bottle is sitting in that cabinet! In a rock glass sitting on the ice. Raccoons looking on curiously wondering why I am not drinking no Glen Morangie Fiddich.

Dang raccoons. Get your own scotch.

I ran out of Lagavulin LONG ago.

I've also been feeling like something in my life is missing.

Have you tried Highland Park 15? Different than Lagavulin but on the same level IMO.

I know I've tried Highland Park for sure, but it was years ago and I can't remember the age. I do recall it was a fine Scotch though!

I also like to keep Oban 14 close by.

That is next on my list... Although I might have to step it up a notch and add something special to the collection.

Well it's on tonight...18 degrees and my lawyer(who is also a very good friend) just showed up with a bottle of Bunnahabhain. He caught it on sale in Nashville.

We're gonna crack it and argue about the Olympics.

I wish I was there to argue with you, I still have some of that left in the cabinet, almost perfection for Scotch

My new bottle streak is on a tear !

Went to a bigger LCBO in my state of snowy boredom today ... And found a Tomatin 12

Guys, if you want super light and smooth ... This is the ticket ! Apparently, according to the box, it's won its fair share of gold medals

Having a rough couple of days recovering from dental surgery, but a good single malt and a hot tub eases the pain!

Oban is good. Need to get another bottle of the 14 for regular consumption. Costco has it for cheap! Another regular is Macallans 18 and I recently had a bottle of the 25 as well as whatever they call their 120 proof. Another good brand is Balvenie.
