possible new course names

My friend just bought a course and we are trying to come up with some names. So far we have the following, falcon view country club, valley view country club, Fulton county country club, foothills golf club, whispering hills, whispering pines. Any suggestions will be great.

I would stay with names that are associated with the community. In my opinion, it gives the course more of an identity than just some generic named golf club. You might achieve more patronage with a community name.

I like the Fulton County name the best for the reason mentioned above. What about other similar options like Fulton National Golf Club?

I agree, go with a local name.

Some ideas to incorporate could be the name of a nearby river or lake, if something historic happened in the area maybe use something related to that, if there is a certain type of notable tree or plant that grows around there you could use that in the name. I like it when a course calls itself something like "musket hill" because there was a battle nearby. There's a very nice course near me that had a coal mine on the property once and also had significant logging on the property and they incorporate both of those in the name and the experience which is cool.

I'd stay away from names like "eagle crest CC" if there aren't any eagles or crests around, and don't call it a country club unless its a private course, that always annoyed me for some reason.

Hails mills, we've got some work to do but its going to be nice eventually. Prices are going to be realistic and lots of different outings and events

Why not stick with the original name?

there was a revolutionary war battle fought near there so you could go with something similar to musket hill (as thrillhouse suggested earlier) or you could keep it simple with Hales Creek CC/GC

plenty of lakes in that area as I recall. I wouldn't mind betting that the golf course is attached to, or is nearby to a lake. That could form the basis of a course name.
