r1 super tp driver $900

what does $900 get you with this driver that $400 doesn't get you with the other r1 drivers?

A 500 dollar shaft upgrade? Seriously, is that what they cost?

r1 is $399

r1 tp is $499

r1 super tp $899

The Super TP offers you the chance to lose even more money when they are replaced by the Really Super TP in 3 month's time.

does it assure you of super long ball flight on mishits? because that will be super duper

Shaft: OBAN Kiyoshi White. It would be cheaper to buy stock ,then buy shaft separate

from what i can tell it comes with a kiyoshi white, so when you go to get fitted just make sure that's not the shaft that works best for you

I got to hit it down in Naples. Its a heck of a shaft and looks amazing in the R1, very piercing ball flight. But i dont have $900 to blow and i doubt TM will be sending me one to try out. but a guy can hope right?

You can actually get the Oban Kiyoshi White as a non-upcharge shaft in the standard TP model. I am wondering if the Super R1 is not something along the lines of the SuperDeep?

yes its for people with superdeep wallets and superdeep affection for Taylormade

can anyone else speak to this? just the kiyoshi white or is this a different head. i saw already that there is a smaller footprint r1 at 440cc - not available to retail (at least that was what i thought....)

I was just on their site. You can get the R1 TP Driver with an Oban Kiyoshi White shaft for $500. It's a very good deal considering the shaft alone is $400. Factor in installation, grip and any tipping/puring/floing etc and taxes and it may cost you $500, alone, at some places.

FWIW, most of the prime, aftermarket shafts are an additional $100. There is a $0 upcharge for any of the Aldila or UST series.

What we hit was a special oban white, Sean said the shaft was $800, now i dont know if i miss understood him and he meant it was all $800, but i remember $800 being thrown around. It had a very impressive case it came in. I assume this is what the Super TP is because we were talking about its availability

2 years ago TM introduced the Superdeep for 499,-

2 month later the Superdeep 299,-for sale.

TM is generally overpriced, 399,- for the regular R1 with a crap stock shaft and no better performance as the R11S.

Mark is almost correct......the $900 price tag includes your attorney fees for your divorce that will be filed the day you buy the R1 Supercalifragilisticexpealidocious. Losing all of your other possessions in the divorce is not part of the package though. You'll have to wait for the Rocketbladez Tour irons to get the full package.
