Brutal! Do you play in the Saddle Rock/Murphy Creek Men's League? I'm contemplating joining it next year.

A guy I played with on Saturday is a member of it. He loves it, but does caution it's extremely competitive (you need a handicap lower than 4 to be in to the championship flight!).

I'm pretty satisfied with my current golf league. Once 2015 rolls around (after I'm done with my MBA), I might consider something like SR/MC or even Canongate.

Wow, I'm definitely not near a 4 lol. I'm just hoping to dip into single digits by next year which, given my schedule lately, could be challenging!

I haven't played since June 8 (and a range session with my daughters the following weekend).

Wishing all Colorado WRX'ers a happy (and fire-free) July. Maybe I'll post a brief golf report from Sweden, but I'll be back in the US in August. Playing all 27 at Fox Hollow on 8/4. image/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

Just got back from Lone Tree Golf Club's range. I was hitting next to this young girl with an amazing swing. Turns out, she's on the European team for the Junior Solheim Cup (at Inverness GC next week).

My neighbor has some connections that should (knock on wood) produce two free tickets for me. Going to give the Tuesday-Friday tickets to my parents. If I skip my golf league tourney at Fossil Trace, I'll go both on Saturday and Sunday (otherwise, just Sunday).

Played Riverdale Dunes on Saturday. It's in absolutely gorgeous condition--although a tad soggy from the recent rains. What irked us was that the pro shop rushed us onto the tee boxes (each group was 10 minutes early off the tee), then the marshalls kept telling us to hurry up. They were running three tournaments that day: our golf league, the Golfweek Am Tour, and some Ryder Cup-style event called "The Rocky Mountain Cup".

Had a beautiful Ray-Ray (47-38). The back nine could've been a 35 had I not tripled 15. We played from the blue tees, and I drove 14 & 18 for easy birdies (and some sweet skins money).

    Playing Fossil Trace on Saturday.

HA! A good friend of mine plays/captains the Colorado Springs group for the Rocky Mtn. Cup.

Played up there with them a couple of weeks ago and love the course!

Oh. Emm. Gee. It was brutally hot. My weather app says we hit 100.

In hindsight, we should've just gone straight to the Ping Pavilion until the clouds arrived. That place was loud.

The girls got to talk to Annika briefly, and they got autographs from Lotta.

Sadly, we left during the weather delay, and we missed Caroline's clinching putt.

    Playing Fossil Trace this Saturday.

Witnessed my first hole-in-one. #11 at Fossil Trace. Kicked slightly right off the left fringe, caught the hill, rolled back downhill, and disappeared into the cup. That was awesome.

My game sucked something awful. Birdied three of the five par 5's. Had to birdie the last one to shoot my handicap.

Playing the Meadows for the first time tomorrow.

    Any advice?

Looks like lots of dog leg 130 yard layups to be had. And hole 12 looks like a PITA!

It's been quite a few years since I've played it. I do enjoy the course, but it can get pretty brutal if the winds pick up. (Then again, what course doesn't in Colorado? image/biggrin.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':D' />)

Nice course! But I won't be playing it again till my long irons behave.

We finished the front in 1:20

Then the starter put a 4 and a single in front of us at the turn. The foursome was painfully slow. We stopped keeping score after 12. Too long between shots.

I'm so busy with work, school, kids' birthday parties, and work around the house that I have no idea when the next time I can go golfing. I had to decline playing Blackstone this weekend, and my golf league outings on the 7th (Indian Peaks) and 14th and 15th (CommonGround) are seriously in jeopardy. Haven't even had time to hit the range. image/sad.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':(' />

On the plus side, I signed up my oldest daughter to golf lessons at Trent Werner Golf Academy (at Meridian Golf Club). Five hour-long lessons for $150, with three students max. Their practice putting greens are incredibly slow.

    Front Range Golf Club (http://www.frgclub.com)

It's slightly cheaper and smaller than the other traveling golf leagues in the area (Golf Channel Am and Golfweek Am). Typical events field 16-20 players in two flights.

Only three events left this season. If you're interested in joining next year, please send me a PM.

Oh man it was brutally hot today. But so was my golf game.

Shot at 74 at Indian Peaks with 6 birdies (two missed eagle putts from under 10 feet), 6 bogeys, and a silly double. I had four other birdie putts under 10 feet that didn't go in. On two of them, I almost drove the green, and I couldn't convert.

Took low gross (and low net) honors, which resulted in a $50 gift card and $73 cash. image/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

Looks like it's going to be wet n' wild this weekend (and not in a fun way). Kind of glad other commitments prevented me from signing up to play CommonGround tomorrow and Sunday. I hate playing in the rain. Sadly, it's also preventing from having my daughter's birthday party at the DU Observatory tomorrow. image/sad.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':(' />

    Stay dry!

Yikes! CommonGround is closed until further notice due to flooding. Golf league cancelled tomorrow and rebooked Sunday to GVR.

Not playing this weekend because we are having some guests from out-of-town. Next weekend, I've been invited to be the hammer on a scramble team at Red Hawk Ridge. That should be fun.

    Good luck in the scramble!

I hit two of my longest drives ever @ Red Hawk on those down hill par fives. Had 15 MPH wind behind me. Gap wedge into the green on 18 for eagle. Really open course (which I like)

Frost on the ground delayed the start of the scramble for 45 minutes. By the 6th hole, it was all good. Absolutely gorgeous day. One of these days, I want to get a foursome of good golfers so I can actually compete in a scramble. image/biggrin.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':D' />

Company golf outing on the 14th. Can't wait.

Most of the intake ditches to the reservoirs have been washed out, the water peak(and all the sewage in it), is in mid Nebraska now.
