WITB - New 2013 Nike VRS Staff Bag and VRS Covert Clubs

Hey all, first time on here and found this forum to share photos of my new 2013 Nike VRS Staff bag and VRS clubs...the bag is absolutely awesome. Say what some will, but I have never had anything other than a staff bag....the first (and only) thing I ever won in a golf outing was a Nike staff bag back in '04 and I loved it until replacing it this year with the VRS bag....Some ppl think they are too pretentious or unnecessary, but who cares, it's MY bag! While I'm just a casual player, I like what I like and that's that.

I never had anything better than a R7 Driver and Walter Hagen Irons and that's what was in my bag from 2008-2012. After thinking and waiting and researching for the last year or so, this season I finally made my move and got all new clubs, save for my Alien Golf SW that I couldn't let go of....again, I'm just a casual player and never had REALLY good clubs in the past so this year I moved up to all the new Nike Covert clubs and LOVE them. After five rounds so far, they have been a pleasure to hit, have helped really get the ball off the ground, and are obviously more forgiving than any other clubs I've ever had. The driver, FW, 3H, and irons have all performed beautifully, as has my other new club, my Nike Midnight Method putter.

[/quote]ha, I'm sure there aren't many others... I've just grown used to the Alien and it was a gift... Its the only thing besides tees, divot tool, and cigar cutter/lighter that I carried over from the old bag.

Nice bag. do you have 2 different bags, one black and other light grey or is that just the flash playing tricks. I've seen the light grey Covert headcovers also on ebay and wasnt sure if there actually are 2 different colors or the flash playing trick.

Thanks SB... nope, the bag is black/grey camouflage but is a reflective material so the flash makes it come out that way.... I saw a similar photo of the bag like that when it leaked in December and took my own photo to show the effect. The headcovers are made the same way and give off the same reflection

In different sunlight, it looks to the naked eye like it is either black dark grey, pretty cool IMO

Does it fit on a cart?

great nike setup and beautiful bag! the swoosh is doing a great job moving their gear in the right direction IMO.

Most would say negative things about an average joe rocking a staff bag...depending on the personality of the individual I would be one of them...But you my friend seem like an alright guy and you don't give a you know what about what others think of you and your staff bag and that is awesome! That bag is beautiful and you should be proud of it, ROCK ON DUDE!!!!!!

Yes, it's no problem on a cart, although it is obviously a little bulky to push around for 6800 yds. Then again, if there are power carts avail, I always ride so it doesn't matter to me. The only course on Long Island that I walk is The Black.

Thx Ron, I appreciate it and share your position on some average joe's I've seen with a staff bag....some of those ppl just come off like egomaniacs from the get go. I'm definitely not one of them and I'm not trying to show off or be a you know what. I've just only had staff bags and as that's all I was always used to, other bags just looked too small to me for some reason. I did look into getting a Nike stand bag this season but once the chance to own this new bag was presented, I couldn't turn down the chance to rock this beauty.

Ok seriously. . If that is the same bag and light makes it look different.. I will be looking for one of this !!

How do u like the full nike setup?
I am assuming seeing you made a full nike purchase you were fit for these? Either way awesome setup

Love that damn bag and I hate staff bags as I prefer carry bags as I never ride unless in a charity tourney where its included

That bag is so sick! Wish I could afford one haha. How much was yours and where did you get it from?

My wife bought it for me as an anniversary present to go with the clubs i bought... Her brother is a Nike apparel executive so I'm not sure what kind of deal he got on it...all I know is that it wasn't too rare otherwise he wouldn't have been able to find it so maybe that means more are coming to market?

Bags and putter are sharp. But the Alien 3 wedge takes the cake. Lol. Neat club.

This is such a sweet set up. Gotta get you into a pair of VR wedges, though!
