Best and worst online golf shop

So Im guessing this has already been on here, but I was just wondering what shops everyone prefers, who gives the best discounts? Also on the flip side I was wondering who are the online shops to avoid and why?

Been thinking about making some purchases and was hoping for some feedback. Thanks

I agree Discount Dan's is the best. They were even better when Dan and Nick were running the shop, but the current guys are still pretty good.

There are a ton of good ones...budgetgolf, gpp (most of the time)...

Golfsmith is probably the worst.

I like TGW.com though they used to be better. User interface is great. Easy to find what you want. If web site says it's in stock it usually is. Easy to configure a custom club online. Occasionally when I have to phone they are pretty helpful.

I've bought from Discount Dan's and they are great too. More likely to get you a sneaky low price. But their web site isn't an interactive shopping site. You have to call or email to order.

golfanything.com is horrible. I ordered a set of shafts from them and never received them. They sent me a tracking number, but there was never any record via USPS that the shafts had shipped. Called them numerous times and kept getting "we'll look into it and call you back". They never called back. When I called them, the guy on the other end interrupted me several times during our conversations. I finally had to demand a refund.

I'm extraordinarily partial to Morton's Golf. I'm usually ordering PING products, so the discount is a non-issue but the customer service is outstanding, something I wish our local shops had, which they don't, which is why I consider Morton's my local shop. They even confirm that I want the stuff lefty--something I actually forget to specify more often than not!

Worst online shop: nothing comes to mind. Most of my orders have always gone through, and those that haven't have been corrected. Maybe GolfSmith, as their site doesn't reflect actual stock, especially during sales. But most online shops are just impersonal--which is why I like Morton's.

I like global golf as well. Traded in and bought from them and have had no problem and great customer support!

While I haven't actually ordered anything from discount dans, I have e mailed them several times to get price quotes, since they cannot advertise their prices. I literally got a response back from them on everything I had questions on in less than 5 minutes. I appreciated the fast response from them.

rockbottom is best always shipped out fast'
golfsmith was the wost a week to ship out

I agree about golfsmith. Used clubs are a crapshoot; they can be pretty beat up. And occasionally they'll list a used club without important info like length of a putter.

+1. They were very responsive to my emails and questions. I ended up ordering my x hots from them and they have kept me in the loop the entire time on estimated delivery.

I dont care for golfsmith. Better to just goto the store IMO. TGW is ok, as mentioned, good user interface. 3balls golf has been good to me. Mitchells and Golfworks (for supplies, etc) are both excellent IMO.

Agree Golfsmith has to be one of the worst. I will say that I've been able to get some decent deals on clothing in their stores.

Callawaygolf and Clevelandgolf are good if want to buy direct from the manufacturer.

I'll give Golfsmith an honorable mention. I've ordered from them several times without a problem, although some here seem to have had a couple issues with them.

is discount dans still the best? Just wanted some updates. Looking to place a complete bag custom order after true spec fitting - wondering who I can get the best deal from while custom ordering. most anyone with an account can order up but just wanted to ask the group.

I'm not sure if they are the least expensive (I buy Ping so discounts don't apply), but Morton Golf sales is outstanding for their customer service.

Discount Dan's usually has some of the best prices around, but from what I've heard over the past year or so they may not be able to offer the same kinds of discounts they once did. But they are great to deal with.

Worst-Rockbottom golf- There prices certaintly aren't "rockbottom". Also, "their price" next to the item is stupid. Stop lying. No one is selling that club at that price.

Carl's golfland is pretty damn good, minus the past hacking.
