2007 Burner TP- Anyone still use it?

Anyone still use 07 Burner TP driver? I can get a Superfast TP for cheap, but can't imagine it would be any better than the 07. Thoughts?

I picked up a 5w last week, and am in love with it. Don't know how it took me this long to find the holy grail lol. I'd be interested to hit the driver one day. Now on the hunt for the 3w...

Just found a tour issue head the other day, and had it refinished by continential golf in flat black. It looks sick. went in the bag same day it come back

The 07 Burner TP is a classic. If it works, keep it in the bag.

Still have mine and use it every round. I've had it since 2008 and can't find anything to replace it. 10.5 degrees, stock 50g superfast shaft, stiff flex, 45.5 inches. I'm not a long hitter by any means, but it's a reliable 240-250 and usually somewhere in the fairway. Very solid feeling club.

I have the TS FW...It is great. Right up there with the Vsteel

Yes, still have three of the drivers, a normal and TP version 3 woods. Latest driver is a '07 burner TP with a tour ad di built by Will Peoples. The '07 Burners are the holy grail.

I have two 9.5s, one is tour issued. Just got a very clean 8.5* delivered today coincidentally.

Play a tour issued 3 wood as well. If I carried a 5 wood then you know what it would be.

I still have mine and have bought and sold at least 20 drivers since I purchased it in March of 07.

I'm a lefty and they sent me a grooveless face 07 Burner TP with a GD 65 gram shaft that freqs at 6.6.

They told me at the time that they had a few of those heads left from development and just sent only a couple of them out to customers. They had only made a small sample of them.

The non-TP 07 Burner heads have grooveless faces while the TPs had several small lines across the face. People talk about being able to tell a V1 from a V2 based on the length of the lines on the face.

I put it out a couple times a season and game it.

I will never get rid of mine!

Funny thing is I purposely avoided these when Jim Furyk was using them. Just cuase. He's like anti-marketing

Yes. This is my gamer. I've demo'ed all the new drivers, and none perform better for me than my 07 Burner TP. FYI, I'm an 8 hc, with 95 mph driver ss.

This was a great driver. I gamed one for 2 seasons with an Ozik Altus. IMO the technology has improved greatly in the last 5 years and frankly, there are better offerings.

Physics has not changed in the last 5 years and the big advancement in technology is just marketing BS.

What does the 07 look like specifically as far as crown and paint on the bottom? I have seen a few different 'Burner TP's around the used sections but am only interested in the 2007.

What have been the great [i][b]performance advancements[/b][/i] in drivers over the last 5 years?

I still have a 10.5 and an 8.5, both TP heads. I used them up until about Feb. of this year when I switched to an RBZ non-tour head. I have never liked adjustable clubs but the RBZ non-tour is pretty much no-fuss and just shaft only. I play it in the Neutral position, it's just easier to try shafts now. 2007 Burner TP is one of the best ever. Both are sitting right next to a R580XD TP in the bag, and a Cleveland Comp Tour Issue 460, a pair of classics too.

Here's my current Burner TP rigs:

9.5* / RIP Alpha 70x
9.5* B-stamp / Fuji 660TR xx
8.5* / Protopype 80x - pick this one up tomorrow

Second favorite head is probably the V2 Rapture but like that the TPs sit open.

I still have mine as a backup(was gaming until this year). I bought it brand new and it still is almost as long as my ping i20

Too bad they have that ugly design on the crown. One thing that connects the new TM with the old.....

Still in my bag, as long as any other driver i have played (G400, 16m2, Epic SZ, etc..) Just picked up a 3 wood as well hope it is as good as the driver.

Wow, glad to hear it is as long as the G400. Approximately what is your driver swing speed? Mine is around 100.

Love it and would never sell mine, however, they are not as forgiving as the 16 M2 or G400 LST I have been testing. Good for good, the 07 TP is as long as either when properly fit.

I still have mine, but it's no longer my daily driver. Today's clubs seem to be much more forgiving than the 07 burner TP. That said, I will never sell it. I played with it from 2008 until 2015. Great driver.

Too good. I have a 9.5 to and matching 3 wood. Both in mint shape sitting in the basement. If anyone is interested drop me a message. For the right home I’ll cut you a great deal if they find some use.
