Total sidenote in my ho'ing ways I actually picked up a set of 2013 Callaway X-forged off of CPO at 30% off this morning then less than 12 hours later was buying these. No custom options online though, hoping I can call tomorrow and flip my set to a 4-GW, 7-GW MB, 4-6 Single Cavity, and then depending on the upcharges atleast put some soft stepped X100's in there or KBS Tour Stiff+

I would like all MB's with KBS x stiff.

Another driver I don't need. I would have picked up a hybrid, but no stiff flex.

I think they just deleted it I had a cart full of stuff with the code active and was about to check out and it disappeared. Says invalid now.

I used the code and was told it was INVALID! I hate when those predatory fat-cat, deep-pocket companies bait-and-switch the poor proletarian working man, they should have to honor the code. They just want to stomp on law-abiding citizens just to keep them down and kill the middle class....

Well, just called Cobra to see if I change the makeup of my set and that's a no go over the phone. Custom options can only be done through an authorized dealer. So I then asked when my order would ship since it is now just an off the rack set and the rep immediately saw I had a "GS45" order which are all on hold. They are figuring out what to do with them as that is not a valid code and will be calling me back later today once they have reached a decision. Not looking good.

Oh well, I really didn't need that driver. I wouldn't hold any ill will if they cancel the discount, but it would probably be smart business for them to honor it. They are still making a profit with 45% off. I'm sure most people will cancel their orders without the discount. Something is better than nothing, and how many people do you really think got in on the deal?

Why would they honor something that they'd take a bath on?? I know clubs are marked up, but not that much where selling them at a 45% discount seems like a good idea. And if people cancel their orders, oh well, someone else will eventually buy that driver at retail and make up for 2 cancelled orders.

as for the amount of people who got that deal, i'd say it was a big enough amount to almost immediately cancel the promo, it didn't even last 8 hours on the site. the whole 'company should honor prices/deals' argument is a crock in this day and age of forums and social media. this code got posted on here and on reddit where millions of people saw it and probably thousands took advantage, and probably more than a few took too much of an advantage (ie ordering 6 drivers in hopes of flipping them for a profit on ebay).

no harm, no foul...everyone just continue about your lives, because really this had no profound impact on you one way or the other.

also, no singling anyone out, just stating my opinions.
