Hey guys, I was just curious if any of you knew what Tiger Woods uses as a ball marker? Just curious..heh

Extra - what do other players use? anything unique that you guys know of?

He uses a quarter with specific year on it. It's 1 year below his lowest score for a round. I don't remember what his lowest round is, but if it's 59, then the quarter is a 1958.

I believe it's a 1960 quarter, because that is the next lowest score he has to shoot. If he shoots 60, he'll start using a 1959 quarter. Friday had a chance to be that day!

How does one find a 195x quarter? The Mint?

I played in a tournament with a guy this weekend that used a Yamaha golf cart key......I tried to give him some change. Wouldn't take it.

Saw a cool comment by Ken Venturi where he said if he had to move his marker because it was in another player's line, he would use the tails side of the coin. If it was just normal marking, he would use heads. The tails would always be a reminder to him that he needed to move his marker back to the golf ball's original spot.

Go to any coin shop or check ebay. They are 90% silver, so unless it's a key date, you'll be paying for its silver content.

The quarter is my go to and I like it eagle side up (old school quarter) Heads up and george gets nervous and yips the putt lol

I use a quarter, the year of my wife's bday.

I use a Susan B Anthony silver dollar outside of 10 feet, inside, it's a dime. If I'm near someone's line no matter what distance, it's always a dime, and I use an older dime that's not bright and shiny (I think it's a 74').

Tiger uses 1958 quarter. This is one lower than all-time round low (tournament or non-tournament). He has mentions a couple times he has '57 and '56 quarter ready.[size=4] [/size]

Nice. I will wait for next year and get my quarter.

I use a TW logo ball marker / hat clip. It reminds me to focus 100% and never give any strokes away. Might have to switch to the '58 quarter though, except it would be a 1976 one in my case...

I'd be pissed if I were playing with Poulter on a sunny day and constantly being blinded by his gaudy ball marker while trying to putt.

Why does Poulters marker have a willy in the center of it?
