Driver Shaft Recommendations

580XD TP

Hi All-

I recently picked up a r580xd TP head and stuck in a Blue Superlight I had lying around. Historically, this shaft did well for my swing, but now I feel that it is totally wrong.

My ball totally balloons and is all over the place! I thought that this was due to the weight of the shaft so I added gobs of lead tape near the hosel and also near the grip. This has helped a little, but when I go after it, the ball still balloons right.

Here are my launch monitor stats with a FT-3 + NVS 55S (did not have my club with me):
105 SS
150 Ball Speed
4400 RPM's (too high)
13* launch angle

So without drastically changing my swing, what shafts should I be looking for? My theory is that I need a low spinning, heavier shaft.. Which would be better fit for my swing? NV 75S, a 757S , or a Diamana 63/73/83S?

Try the AccuFlex Evolution. I have been using one for a while now and I like it more and more everytime I pull it out of the bag. It produces an awesome ball flight. The ball gets up fast and then planes out and just hangs there. I could not be happier with this shaft. I must say I get a bit excited everytime I pull out driver. Thats kinda weird huh??? AccuFlex is currently working on a lighter version that will be out sometime this year I think. If you don't have a local dealer you can find them on the web for $89 and most times with free shipping. It is said that they play one Flex stiffer than they say they are. So a Stiff would actually play more like and X flex. I tried the Stiff flex first and did not like it and ended up buying the X flex and I am happy I did. I swing in the 110-116mph range and have a somewhat quick tempo. I have found that this shaft works better with a smooth tempo. I get more distance out of it with a smooth tempo than I do when I give it the full rip.
