PING DLX CART BAG ANY EXPERIENCES

Im seriously considering picking up a PING DLX cart bag in the white color.

Anyone out there with this bag and what is their opinion?

I'm retiring my 10 year old ping red white and blue hoofer....

Also interested. Seems really big, but would like to hear other opinions. (Sorry for the hijack)

No worries. It looks good to me as a cart bag for club use which is what I will be using for.

i had one, no real complaints but get a very good second hand staff bag from ebay for the same money. much better storage. I got a ping staff bag and wouldnt be without a staff bag now.

I got the 2013 PING staff bag as well and I love it! Can't see myself using anyother type of bag.

I have seen the white version in the stores and it does not have a pass through for the cart strap. How does the cart strap sit on the bag? Does it crush the top pocket?

I like it. Don't have ping in my bag but I care about performance.
It looks big but it's actually extremely light. Storage for water & beer is just ok.
Other than that it has full dividers, good pockets layout.
Etc. Zippers slide a little funny, kind of catch a bit. Overall one of the best.

To those chiming in about staff bags? Silly.
Apples to oranges.
A light functional bag with tons of pockets & full dividers ie the ping dlx.

Or a heavy monstrosity with only a couple dividers, tangled clubs, a sore back from car to cart, less pockets.

Dlx is good.

I have two DLX's, love them. One all black and one black / burgundy / white
Great bag if you ride or use a push cart
Switch back to one of my hoofers when i travel

I have one and will sell for a good price. It is a good bag, just not as good as the C-130 . I was not too crazy about the way the putter sat in the bag. It sat great on a cart. No problems with the cart strap. PM me if anyone is interested in purchasing

I have this bag. It's a great bag. Plenty of pockets for whatever, lighter than it looks. I get plenty of compliments. 14 full dividers, so no club will catch on the grips. Putter sits a bit too high for my taste. I did noticed that the letters from "Ping" was pealing off. So I took it to my local pro shop and showed them the letters pealing off. Jason, my club fitter called Ping to see if any can be done. Ping is sending a new replacement at no charge within a week. Nice to know that ping stands by their product. Hope this helps. Good luck!

i saw it in the store last week and it has a pass trought for a strap, it goes behind the pocket.

Will the bag hold an over sized putter grip?

Anyone have any feedback on the 2015 model? I have been eying the all black one. Wondering if it is worth the price tag.

Received my bag over 4 weeks ago and so far I really like it

Pros
The material is easy to clean.
Divider Organizes clubs very well.
The bag has great balance.
Color and embroidery is very well done
Cart strap slot is very nice. it is the first bag I have had with this and I love it.

Cons
Cooler pocket is better used for storage
The bottom ball pocket has velcro and feels floppy.

Nice! I ordered the black one last night. Now I am wondering if maybe I should have gone white. White looks really sharp.

Changed my mind and canceled the black order and ordered a white one from an ebay seller. The white looks really sharp.

Got my white one in the mail yesterday. Haven't had time to unwrap it and load it up. Going to try to do that in the next day or so. Now time for some new leather headcovers to go with the bag!

What was Ping thinking when they made this bag 11 lbs? Cart bags are generally in the 7 to 9 lb range, with lightweight bags in the 5 to 7 lb range. This bag looks good, but it needs to be put on a diet. I'd pick one up in a heartbeat if it was 9 lbs or less. Unfortunately, by bag/equipment/travel case weighs in at 49.5 lbs, so any extra weight is a no-go.
