360/PS3 favourite game?

So now that the next gen consoles are coming out I thought it might be fun to reminisce about our favourite games from last gen.

I have to go with call of duty 4, I played the crap out of that game, got the gold cross on multiplayer and everything. I look back and can't believe how good I got at cod4 multiplayer, I had 2+ KD ratios every single game. I still miss my favourite multiplayer maps like bog and block, and my favourite guns like the m16, mp5, ak74u, and the Barrett .50 cal that we called the zit popper for what it would do to your head when I exploded your head with it from the other side of the map.

Man I loved that game!

Mine is COD4 as well. I spent so much time on that game it's not even funny. I played primarily S&D back then with a group of guys that I haven't heard from in quite a long time. Back then, each round won in S&D counted as a win on your record. So each time you won a match, it was basically 4 wins. Me and the guys I played with all had win streaks of 50+. 50 consecutive rounds without a loss. That's ridiculous now that I think back on it.

I miss playing Backlot and Crash. Those were 2 of my favorites. I liked Overgrown as well. I loved the MP5, M4 and the M16. It was also fun to use the desert eagle in hardcore because that was a one hit kill pretty much every time. It was also fun to run around with 3 frags and 2 noob tubes just to piss people off too!

I actually played it about 2 months ago but all I could find was team death match and it took a while to find that game. No chance on any other game modes.

Dont know that I have a favorite but COD 4 was a great game. I just hooked my 360 back up and have been playing some of the old COD and Halo games. I miss my old Xbox. I gave it and like 30 games to my nephew and he now doesnt know where it is. GTA 3, Halo, and Tony Hawk Underground were some of my favorites for it. I also liked the ESPN games that came out for Xbox.

PS3-- I was a huge MW2 guy. Once I got good at the game, and was able to keep pace with a few of my friends, we were on multiplayer every night having a blast.

Xbox-- Definitely Gears of War. One of the best games I've every played and also the best video game promo vid! For anyone who doesnt remember:

Baseballfrk's post brought back a bunch of great memories!

COD4 was great, but I was a bigger fan of MW2. That was by far the game I was the best at. Not a KD of 2+ or anything, but I dropped a few nukes. I have been comparing every COD to that ever since, and none have lived up to it.

360 guy here. Played oblivion and skyrim into the ground. I thunk I logged like 300 hours on oblivion and 250 on skyrim.

Gears was my favorite series and just a few days ago I discovered borderlands 2........omg.....borderlands 2 is amazing and hilarious. Badass rank?? Awesome idea.

Also of note for me is bioshock series....Most unique idea I've seen in a while for a spin on a fps.

I really liked Civilization on 360. I am having a hard time picking between Red Dead Redemption and Fallout 3 though. I still play Fallout 3 sometimes. There are a few achievements I haven't unlocked yet. GOW 2 Horde was incredible. My brother and I played through it on co-op and I thought my wife would leave me.

Halo 2/3 were epic times for me, as It was right at the end/after highschool and starting college.
Also enjoyed many many hours on CoD MW, and Battlefield 2.

- Red Dead Redemption
- GTA V
- COD: Black Ops (my 1st one, and the best)

Borderlands was sick when it comes out, the second was even better!

Gran Turismo 5. Simply put I have more hours in that game than anything else. One of the only older games I keep going back to when I get bored. I did not start playing COD online reguarly until Blackops and quit after MW3 so I missed all the good ones.


Current games I really love GTA V

GTA 5 and any Madden.

Red Dead Redemption was so huge and epic. I loved playing that game, reminds me of The Good, The Bad and The Ugly.

I also played a bit of NCAA Football online and FIFA. I am currently playing TW '14.

Xbox 360 - Halo 3 and Forza 3

Xbox360 for me. I have to say Black Ops-zombies on Kino, Assassins Creed series, Forza 3.

Honorable mention: Bioshock series, Gears of War series, Prey, Mafia 2, Homefront

Other games I have yet to play or finish just to name a few Fallout 3, Fable 1 and 2, Red Dead Redemption, Halo Reach.

I LOVED COD4...I was so good at it. Now I'm up to Ghosts, and I'm absolutely terrible. My ratio is like .300 and seems to be getting worse and worse. Am I the only one here that completely sucks?

Nah, I suck too now, I have stupid responsibilities that seriously get in the way of my ability to rock noobs at call of duty.

When ghosts came out I was all "I'm gonna set aside specific time in my week so I can get good at this!"

I play about two hours a week.

Nope. I really suck at all COD games, but I do like to play them. However, my brother gets mad and because I suck so bad the only way I can kill people is with a, "noob tube". I get really nervous walking around on those games and when I finally see someone I get buck fever.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 was my favorite!!!

Too bad the expansion (Undead Nightmares) storyline was so short. Killing zombies with my good old Springfield rifle was so cool.

Thrillhouse, I was thinking more about CoD4 today and a few of the things that I don't miss..

Martyrdom and Last Stand come to mind! I can't even begin to count how many times I cussed out loud because of one of those 2!

Ha ha yes! It sucked losing your kill because you put the guy in last stand and somebody else picked him off and running into the martyrdom frag sucked!

I don't miss juggernaut noobs though. Getting that little Red Cross popping up when you should have killed the guy was way annoying!

I forgot all about juggernaut! I think that was the only CoD with stopping power as well?

Man, good times!

haha last stand was the best. It sucked when you got killed by one, but it was extremely satisfying if you were able to pull off a last stand kill.

I used stopping power on every class!

I was the bomb diggity Schwang at Black Ops for PS3. I used to run the trifecta all the time and could get one quite frequently, sometimes twice a game. (SR71, Chopper Gunner, and dogs all at once). I had a k/d near 3.5 in that game. BO2 and Ghosts are harder to string kills together. Ghosts repspawns are brutal right now.
