Fantasy Football Help: I made it to the Finals!

Who should I start?

My starting line up:

Andy Dalton

Danny Woohead

DeMarco Murray

AJ Green

Pierre Garcon

Calvin Johnson

Martellus Bennett

Broncos defense

Blair Walsh

My bench:

Drew Brees

Ryan Tannehil

Dennis Johnson

Joque Bell

Michael Floyd

My two hurdles are:

Bree's has been my starting QB but on the road he is awful and they're playing Carolina.

Danny Woodhead has been less of a factor with Ryan Mathews but Jamal Charles smokes Oakland on screen passes so maybe Woodhead will too?

Dennis Jonhson will start against the Broncos maybe I put him in over Woodhead?

Should I pick up St Louis Rams Defense or the Broncos matchup against Houston is favorable?

I think if you start Dalton over Brees then you are insane. I get Brees hasn't been great on the road and they are playing a pretty stout D, but, Dalton is unbelievably inconsistent. You may get 300 yards and 3 tds, but, you have the same odds of getting 100 yds, 1 TD and 3 ints with him. I'm a big bengals fan and have watched every game this... I wouldn't touch dalton with a 10 foot pole in a fantasy football championship.

Dalton has like 11 TD's in 5 games is playing a generous secondary. He also is at home.

Brees' QB rating is in the 80's away (he is over 100 at home). He turns the ball over more away and averages 1.3 td's away where as home he averages 3.

Also weather plays a condition. It's going to be raining and windy I believe which is not favorable for a pass heavy team.

Personally, I think you're over thinking it. Brees has so much more upside than Dalton it's not even funny. A bad game for Brees is still a ok game by most QBs standards. A bad game for Dalton is disastrous. Dalton has had multiple games under 200 yards passing. Dalton has had multiple games with 3+ turnovers. Yes the Red Rifle may get 3 tds, he also may throw 3 picks and pass for under 200 yards. Brees is pretty much a lock for 250 yards and at least 1 TD, most likely at least 2 tds. Where the decision becomes easy for me, is the fact that Brees has a very real possibility of throwing for 400 and 3 TDs. Dalton, I guess has a chance to do that, but it's not great.

Now look at the matchups. Carolina is very good defensively and is at home. Def a negative towards brees. Dalton does play at home, but, they play Minn. That means a ton of running for Minnesota and less possessions for Cincy. If Minnesota wants to win they will have to limit to the Bengals poessions.

I take Brees over Dalton all day long and I don't bat an eye. Whichever decision you make, go with your gut and don't look back. We can't predict exactly what's going to happen. We can only decisions based on what we know and what we think. It sounds like you've done your homework. Make you move, stick with it and don't say what if afterwards.

All good points! I am going to make a game time decision. I could also start cousins against Dallas but not sure what I want to do. Bree's scared me having negative points last week until the 3rd quarter, but then he went and got 21 pts.

I went with Brees, but I have a bigger bone to pick with the lions and how they just used Megatron to throw off the defense. I am so glad they lost!

I have Martellus Bennett in right now and up 20.4 points. Hopefully he gets some more in the 2nd half. My opponent has Vernon Davis so I would like 25-30 pts of cushion to help. Waiting until Monday night is over is going to suck
