Fantasy Golf Strategy and Tools

Well, Fantasy golf begins soon, I was just curious as to how some of you players make your weekly picks and what tools or info sources you use to guide you along the way. I've been playing in a league for the past several years and have come close but have never won and just thought I would see if I'm missing out on any helps that I should be aware of.

I typically check out the guy on pgatour.com under fantasy and then go with my gut as far as who will do what, what else do you all base your picks on???

it all depends on what kind of league you are in; if you just want latest info on logical contenders, the guy who writes the power rankings each week on pgatour.com is very good; also, tons of stats available on yahoo's golf fantasy; is your league a weekly picks scenario, or do you draw your players at the beginning of the season?

We try to put up our picks on Sunday/Monday of every week and we give picks for each of the three main leagues (Yahoo, PGATour.com, and GolfChannel). We use a fairly analytical approach (given our backgrounds in statistics, economics, and financial analysis). We also highlight some of each golfer's recent events and their finishes on that course in the past so you can make some judgments for yourself. Finally, we show our daily Yahoo changes in case there are weather or tee-time arbitrage opportunities (on Yahoo, where you can change your team daily). It's obviously more of an art than a science, but it's always good to have another data point.
